Thought I'd post this for you one more time, because I guess it was you whom corrected me on another thread when I stated the obvious--that is besides those two programs, there's two other teams with two 1-AA titles and a whole bunch of other teams with one. M'kay...so, I guess I'm having a hard time figuring out what your point is, then. By saying that the Griz don't have "much to show" for all their playoff appearances, you're also saying the same as to every team in I-AA, except for two. Is that really the point you want to make?

Or let me ask the question differently: what would make you respect our program? We've won 2 of the last ten national title games, and that's obviously not enough. What if we had won four; would that do it? Five? Six? All ten?

Or, we could try to be more like MSU (i.e., go about fifteen years straight without a playoff appearance). Would that be better?

Yeah, that's how I'm understanding the point, too. Like I said, though, it must be a pretty depressing life if nothing short of winning a national title makes a season worthwhile.

It's especially strange to me that a Cat fan would use this logic, since it leads to the conclusion that, since 1984, MSU has had the same amount of success as Towson (or any other perennial 3-8 team).

Well dang, I wish I would've known that before I cast my vote that made him the designated spokesman for all Griz fans.

Respect your "program?" NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your academic byproducts? NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially to those of you that in all probablity can't remember your "glory years" in the big time conferences and the subsequent attempts to become a big time small school player. One of the few schools that dropped down, stayed down and now asks for respect for the program they've built

And yeah, we all know what happened to our athletic department in
Bozo and we don't necessarily appreciate being reminded of that. But most of us find it more than a little strange that the individual that almost single handedly destroyed our entire athletic department is now running the conference. We understand where we were and how to avoid that ever happening again and those of you in the dark pink can't stand to see the leadership we now have and what that means is happening to your "program." You're looking over your shoulder no more--you're looking from the bottom of the pile wondering what else is going to run over you and you know it's going to be Blue and Gold.

Oh don't worry; I wasn't "asking" for your respect. If I were to make a list of things that I care about in this world, the question of whether or not you respect me or my school would probably be listed right below the question of whether or not we, as a society, eat too much sauerkraut.

I only asked what it would take for you to respect our program because I wanted to determine exactly how delusional you are when it comes to UM's and MSU's respective places in the world. The answer you gave was far better in that regard than anything I could have hoped for.

How can one be so heartless and condescending towards those great Americans who have been victimized by our current sauerkraut crisis? We must seal the borders to keep this stuff and their funny talking manufacturers out of our country, and anyone with a shred of patriotism would support our government in this war on aged vegetable products.

I bleed blue & gold, but I'm as Red, White & Blue as they come and I love sauerkraut (especially the homemade stuff, but since my Unc passed on those days are probably over).

Just substitute the Fizzlies and feel their pain. Imagine them not littering the playoffs.
