Has anyone attended practices or have inside sources as to how the team is developing, standouts, etc in relation to Spring Ball. Sharing tweeter feeds is great but someone has to know something haha!

I have been wondering the same thing, where are all the reports we usually get from people in town?
I feel like this has been the most quiet spring ball ever.

Re: Spring ball thread
Yup. Was at the last few and it was interesting. We are running a pro west coast passing attack with only a fullback in the backfield. 90% passing attack game with Tommy throwing with insane accuracy and Sean hitting the transfer portal after the sonny Holland game. The defense is running a 3-4 d and they are sending 3 linebackers/safeties on almost every play. Looks like the safeties will be getting Ronnie numbers this year. The kicking game is great for field goals and kick offs, it won't miss a beat. They have Colson Coon planned to punt and his brother is jacked. He said he was working out with the punting coach from Wyoming who was pissed they didn't offer him a spot.MSU01 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 08, 2023 9:11 amAre the practices even open to the public for anyone to go watch?mslacatfan wrote: ↑Sat Apr 08, 2023 7:27 amThoughtUKnew14 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 4:10 pmHas anyone attended practices or have inside sources as to how the team is developing, standouts, etc in relation to Spring Ball. Re: Spring ball thread
I’d be a little concerned about the defensive secondary. Most of the QBs completed a high percentage of their throws.

Re: Spring ball thread
Just like every scrimmage, one side does well means the other side did poorly and needs help which is rarely reality. I choose to take everything that happens in a scrimmage with a grain of salt as the squads go up against a mix of 1s/2s/3s. MSU QBs in 2022 were 3rd in the Big Sky in passing game efficiency so not too surprised. Taco putting up big stats shouldn't be a surprise as he's slated to make a jump in production from his freshman season.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Sat Apr 08, 2023 4:57 pmI’d be a little concerned about the defensive secondary. Nope the kid has to go. Too many receiving yards for my liking.

Late in the interview he talks about the departing coaches and mentions that a formal release on Beal's replacement is coming soon. I assume that means we already have someone. Any idea who this is?AFCAT wrote: ↑Sat Apr 08, 2023 1:45 pmVigen interview

Maybe…but the QB room is really really good.
