Re: 2023 signing day thread
based on the latest list, this is who we still are not 100% but have previously committed to MSU. Maybe walkon since they don't require a NLI.
Zac Waible - (OR) - LB - 3-star https://twitter.com/ZacWaible
*Lucas Tuski - (OR) - RB * possible Gray shirt https://twitter.com/TuskiLucas
And for Colson Coon, we still don't know where he is going.

Re: 2023 signing day thread
I really like the O-Line commitments size. I think we stepped that up a little from the past. I also like the pick the QB on the team and find his real home thing. A lot of talented football players in that group. The Fairview kid is interesting, an old coaching friend over in the east told me the kid has a ton of potential. But my favorite pick, just because he wanted so bad to be a Bobcat that he took a PWO or partial is D'Amato. At the QB club meeting, coach said that because of the late commitment, we didn't have a scholarship spot for him, so he asked if he could walk on. I like those kind of players!

I wonder if we need some attrition in the RB for there to even be a spot for Coon. With Kaegun Williams potentially returning that room will packed, although I have a feeling there will be a transfer.Montanabob wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 9:22 ambased on the latest list, this is who we still are not 100% but have previously committed to MSU. We need a packed running back room. Hopefully those on the roster figure that out and work hard to be the next man up. Dings and dents happen with the way we run the football.coloradocat wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 9:30 amI wonder if we need some attrition in the RB for there to even be a spot for Coon. Thought I saw an article about Waible being a PWO. Also, it said he signed in March so I wonder if he was actually part of last year's classMontanabob wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 9:22 ambased on the latest list, this is who we still are not 100% but have previously committed to MSU. Tuski wasn't on the 2022 roster and was listed for the class of 23 so grey shirt would make sense.Cat4LifeHouseDivided wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 8:54 pmTuski was here for fall camp as PWOMontanabob wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 9:22 ambased on the latest list, this is who we still are not 100% but have previously committed to MSU. Re: 2023 signing day thread
Waible has been hanging out with the team, so I have no doubt he will be here in January. Tuski is the one I have doubts about. He hasn’t updated Twitter in months and I haven’t seen any mention of him. That doesn’t mean he won’t be here, just that I haven’t seen any evidence that he will.Montanabob wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 9:23 pmTuski wasn't on the 2022 roster and was listed for the class of 23 so grey shirt would make sense.Cat4LifeHouseDivided wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 8:54 pmTuski was here for fall camp as PWOMontanabob wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 9:22 ambased on the latest list, this is who we still are not 100% but have previously committed to MSU. With the depth on the team I assume most if not all of the high school signees will redshirt but is there a chance any of them greyshirt?

I’m a little slow on the uptake, but I just realized the Cats will have a Taki and a Taco on the roster this season. The collective would be missing a great opportunity if they don’t do something to link those two guys together somehow.

Been meaning to clear up the Lucas Tuski questions for awhile....first, a small world story. One of my all-time best friends, a pal I lived with all through college who's from the Bittterroot Valley now lives in Portland, is married Lucas Tuski's aunt. They put me up for a week last fall when the Cats played at Oregon State.Montanabob wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 9:23 pmTuski wasn't on the 2022 roster and was listed for the class of 23 so grey shirt would make sense.Cat4LifeHouseDivided wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 8:54 pmTuski was here for fall camp as PWOMontanabob wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 9:22 ambased on the latest list, this is who we still are not 100% but have previously committed to MSU. My buddy's wife's family and her uncle adopted a group of kids from Haiti, Lucas being one of them.
Lucas Tuski was super late to football but then had an enormous three-year run at Marist High in Eugene. He rushed for 1,206 yards and 21 touchdowns as a sophomore and then put up 1,785 yards (11.2 yards per carry) and scored 31 TDs as a senior.
Anyways, Tuski was at Montana State last summer and during fall camp. But his heart wasn't in it and he decided to not pursue college football after the first couple of days. He remains enrolled at Montana State and loves going to school in Bozeman.
So there ya go!

Re: 2023 signing day thread
Okay, about a week out from the next signing day. I noticed Tayden Gray has been liking and retweeting a lot of Bobcat stuff lately, so he is a possible signee. I think there might be another high school recruit or two, but that’s probably going to be it for underclassmen. I hope the Cats can find some additional FBS transfers on defense, but they can sign at any time, so no big deal if we don’t hear anything on next Wednesday.

Boy if memory serves me right we had roughly 40 by the time it was all said and done I think Choate's 2nd or 3rd year? However, in today's portal climate I think you aren't doing yourself any favors if you DON'T over recruit every year and let competition lead to natural attrition in the spring.Montanabob wrote: ↑Sun Jan 29, 2023 7:04 pmVim, what's the largest number for signing of recruits?
