It's true that it's best to not respond to recruits on social media. Those that did respond concerning the "nickname" appear to have done so in a respectful way and quite frankly have given the recruit some good advice as to a good vs. not so good way to refer to his chosen University town.
One would think he innocently enough used the nickname and seemed to quickly understand that it isn't the best name to use. No major harm or foul and everyone can just move along.
