Love those pressers. So cringy. Tough to stop watching. I’m thinking his pressers Saturday and Monday will be all-time entertaining.

I’m not making excuses for him.. but imagine having to answer to that fan base…. He’s still doesn’t carry himself like a head coach, but I can’t imagine the stress the fan base puts on him.

Re: Cry-baby alert
Hmm. I actually think the fan base is so nice to him, that when the media asks him a perfectly reasonable question (like this one) he twists it around in his head (maybe he just didn't hear the question right?) and gets upset. The fan base over there, from what I'm told, thinks he's a great coach. Am I wrong about that?GeauxCats41 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 6:23 pmI’m not making excuses for him.. but imagine having to answer to that fan base…. The question was actually complimentary to his team. He prefaced it by saying that they came back strong from a loss last year and basically set it up for Hauck to expand on that positive notion. It appears Hauck took it the wrong way, or maybe I did.

I know egris is a horrible microcosm of the fan base, but I think they still represent a majority of fans who have the most outrageous expectations. This question was fair, but things do boil over. The reason they think he’s great is because he was great in the past. The Gris love the past.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 6:29 pmHmm. Right? That reporter gave him the softest possible soft toss question and Bobby charged the mound.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 6:29 pmHmm. The funny part to me is that it’s so easy to just do some generic coach speak and come out looking good. Vigen does it every week. Doesn’t give anything away, acts pleasant, it’s over in 10 minutes. Bobby clearly has thin skin and is an adult bully. He should apologize to that reporter for being a general asshole.

Said this for a long time, but so glad we continue to get classy and articulate coaches instead of that arrogant prick. One of the main reasons for my hatred of the gris.
Those questions were so generic and easy to answer in coach speak, but he just can’t help himself.

Yep completely a reasonable question. He just can’t help himself.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 6:29 pmHmm. And I agree, he doesn’t have pressure there. He is Jesus there. Which is why he’ll always be able to act however he wants and say whatever he wants to say. And 95% of their fanbase will eat it up as gospel.
I love Vigens pressers for obvious reasons, but there’s no doubt Bobby’s are must see tv.

Re: Cry-baby alert
They say you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.
To paraphrase that... You can lead Bobby Hauck by giving him a question that is perfectly teed up for him to give a positive encouraging answer about his team's preparation for their upcoming game, but you can't make him give that positive answer.
Furthermore, you can't stop him from giving the most snarling, surliest, snotnosed answer imaginable.

You people realize this is 1catz trying to legitimize themselves with a new name…

True enough but the chances of 1catz or his new name legitimizing himself are about as good Hauck winning a congeniality contest.rollo_tumasi wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 10:22 pmYou people realize this is 1catz trying to legitimize themselves with a new name…
It just ain't gonna happen
