I liked this part:
UM officials have said that while the center may not have met its original mission, it did a good job of involving kids in science.
$3 million over three years seems a little excessive to teach kids about science.

I actually laughed out loud when I read that quote to. It reminded me of a commercial. "Well, we may not have helped commercialize space travel, but we did use the $3 million to stay at a Holiday Inn"

We need to adopt the Griz philosophy and just embezzle it from wherever we can

I chuckled the other day when someone in the newspaper referred to him as the Decider-in-Chief.

Well, if the money from NASA actually taught the kids science, then at least some good came of it. Although if NASA was able to do such a thing, they would have had to sneak around this problem:

http://www.nasawatch.com/archives/2006/ ... utsch.html

Maybe this was part of a plot by NASA insiders to circumvent the President and spread the insidious word of science to innocent school children.

As a follow-up, this guy resigned from NASA after it was disclosed by the media that he had lied on his resume and hadn't actually graduated from college.

Like him or not, you almost gotta respect BearBAC's ability to find the most bizzare and (usually) on-topic photos of cats.

It's not very hard to do a Google image search of any topic at hand.
