We were there, and you were not - again. But if depth is now your standard... just wait!

You ain't gonna' believe '06, baby!
typical idiocy.

Your invite into the playoffs could NEVER have been because of monetary reasons. With the performance against Poly, it simply proved that and that only.
AND HOW DID MSU do against Poly?

I REALLY WISH THE KITTIES WOULD STOP WHINING ABOUT NOT GETTING IN THE PLAYOFFS. The cats have NO ONE to blame but themselves.

#1- Four L teams dont make the playoffs, unless they win the conference bid (In case you dont remember that was EWU)

#2- MSU lost to PORTLAND STATE!!! That L and that L alone kept them out!!!!

#3- The cats lost, badly, to Poly during the regular season, while the Griz beat them by 10.

#4- If MSU had been 8-3 and got bumpped by UM then you WOULD have something to complain about.

So Quit whinning and win 8 or 9 games this year. But be happy with 6 because thats where the cats will be.
Way to deflect everything I said you ****** idiot.

I said the griz got in on monetary reasons only and it showed in the playoff game against Poly.

I never said anything about the Cats you blundering fool. I am fully aware to this day that they controlled their destiny and didn't take advantage of it. I guess that's what we got for not scheduling the 7th grade JV Squad out of Valier, Montana like you guys did.
We know what your post was all about- Whining

Atleast Man up and Admit it.
How is it not the truth? I already admitted that the Cats choked away their opportunity. How is that whining?

I simply stated that the jizz didn't get in because of the quality of a team they fielded last year. They got in only on account of their facilities, a beautifully padded schedule (especially at home), and the $$$ factor. It showed on that day that that was all they could offer since Poly was the only team that day who showed they belonged.

Now use your brain next time you post or is that something you are incapable of?

Oh yeah, nice deflection of my post, once again.
OK loyal USE YOUR MIND

You are on the comitee and are going to take two teams from the Big Sky.
EWU gets in because they Won the title.

The other two choices are UM and MSU
MSU has 4 L's UM 3
MSU lost to Cal Poly bad. UM beat Cal Poly
MSU lost to a bad PSU team. UM killed them
MSU ranked 18 UM ranked 9

You say its money that got the Griz in. I say they did not have a choice. because THEY WERE TAKING TWO FROM THE BSC

Now may be I misunderstood your whining, but Ive heard this same crap from a lot of MSU fans. Money, Money, Money.

If it was all about Money then MSU would have been in over some of the teams that got in, because they would have had 10,000 fans,

So your rational doesnt hold.
it holds a plenty. That vaunted place you call home should have guaranteed a victory since you guys are the griz right?

Last year, it was all about money and the team that won the BSC title. It doesn't take an Einstein to know which one was which.

I realize what the losses column meant to the overall decision, but there are other factors as well that some of you would never acknowledge. Nice facilities (well pretty much the nicest in I-AA) and a lot of financial clout was most certainly helpful.

Montana did not get into the playoffs last year because of their facilities, tradition or $$$. They got in because they had fewer losses.

Now that being said, I find it really difficult to believe that cat fans are trying to make Griz fans guilty because of our program, it's tradition, our Grade A facilities and our ability to attract $$. Those are the things that show that a program has truly arrived at the top level. If those things distinguish the Griz program so that they get a better look from the selection committee than another program with benches for bleachers and 1900 people at games, then so much the better. That's nothing to be ashamed of. What people should be ashamed of is that Montana, GSU and Delaware seem to be the only programs capable of getting to that level when the opportunities are there for everyone to step up.

Of course. It's the PROGRAM! And, the program attacts. Hence, most of the avaiable cash has and will continue to come to UM. Now, I am in favor of two great university sports complexes in Montana, so quit pipe-dreaming and come up with a REAL plan!

With such a vaunted program with such tradition that even a Domer would envy, how in the hell have you lost to such an "inferior" team to the east of you?

Sans Dennis Washington, um would be in the same position as the Cats facilities-wise and $$$-wise don't you think?

Unfortunately, MSU has to do it the old-fashioned way for the time being. Without a doubt, I hope that in the very near future, the facilities at MSU can be up to par with that of what Missoula has. They are impressive to say the least!

One game wonders 3 out of the last 4 times. Ok, Jethro.

Our facilities are building up just nicely. We just haven't been fortunate enough to have a Denny Washington sized bolus of cash to get us started.

Not to mention, of course, that you guys have 300 tickets left after selling maybe 9,000... tops!

I get a little tired of the "Montana only has its facilities because of Denny Washington". All Griz fans are grateful to DW, but let's face reality. First, the gift was only a million dollars (certainly there are MSU grads that could cough that up). Second, it was 22 years ago. Third, at that time WaGriz was built to seat 12,000. The additional 21,500 seats have all been added later because of demand, and because it could be paid for directly from ticket revenue. There may have been a kick-start from Denny, but that great house was built by rabid Griz fans. And the opportunity for you to do the same is there. Step up or shut up. Those are the options. What's it gonna be?

You know damn well that if it wasn't for that kick start from DW then the program wouldn't be where it is just yet. That kick start was a very impressive catalyst for what was to come. Without it, you'd be where most of the other I-AA programs are.

The only reason griz fans like you shed tears over such a statement is because it's true. As a Cat fan, I truly admire what he did for the school and how it really kick started the tradition that many of you spoiled, arrogant fans CONSTANTLY throw back in Cat fans' faces.

Of course, with the success that ensued after his donation, the success came and all of those griz fans suddenly became "rabid" griz fans. With that "rabid" nature (READ: that means a team that consistently won), many of you were willing to shell out the money for what has turned into an impressively growing operation and, now, tradition.

In case you haven't noticed, the growth at MSU wasn't bolused with an initial 1 million dollar investment and even if it was, it wouldn't do a whole lot today when you consider how small 1 million dollars is when it comes to building something of the magnitude of what the griz did 22 years ago.

As for your comment, "put up or shut up", that's ridiculous. Are you 18 years old? MSU donors are doing it slowly but surely. There have been some major changes over the past years that most I-AA fans/schools would be envious of. Basically, what you and griz fans who think like you fail to understand is that you guys would be no different than where we're at right now if it wasn't for that initial investment from DW. Both schools represent a huge amount of Montanans who come from humble backgrounds and thus have an alumni base that is pretty much the same. Last time I checked DW wasn't of that background (A Montanan, that is, though I understand he came from humble roots) nor is he an alum of the um. I wouldn't expect you to have the slightest bit of agreement of what I just wrote, but it's true. You guys and the school you support are extremely lucky and, more impressively, the football program especially has taken advantage of that. To me, that aspect is very admirable.

We all donate in different ways and in different amounts. People like DW donate stadiums and large amounts of money. I donate biting internet rhetoric and the occasional Missoula County operating revenue in the form of "fines" that I pay for "breaking" the "law" while "under the influence of alcohol". Its pretty much the same thing.

By my math that makes wa/griz 33,500 seats.
