You gotta think Choate would be lobbying hard for that job. Pete K as well. Anything to get outta Texas.

Interesting that both Washington and Washington State are looking for head coaches. Pretty rare for rivals to turnover the same year (during the year as a matter of fact)

Choate might have a shot at WSU, but no way at UW. UW is going with a big name guy for sure.Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 14, 2021 4:07 pmYou gotta think Choate would be lobbying hard for that job. Pete K as well. Anything to get outta Texas.

Re: Lake out as coach at Washington
Not to mention that EWU is looking for an OC & Wazzu is looking to replace at least 4 assistants.
There are only 3 Division 1 programs in Washington, all looking for top coaches.
I agree with the comment earlier. Choate makes a ton of sense for WSU as a top assistant. No way he has the resume to be HC of a top tier power 5 team. Not even close. (Not bagging on Choate, its just that you don't go from a modestly successful FCS head coach to a disaster of a year at a top tier school to a plum gig at the top end of the Power 5...look at Craig Bohl, Chris Kliemann, Troy Taylor, Beau Baldwin, Joe Glenn. I mean, even Bobby Hauck had a better resume & he ended up at UNLV.)
DC? Sure.
