Dixie should have been ahead at the half. QB over threw a few way over the receivers head when the they were wide open. And a reciever fell in the endzone for a interception. Hauck left starters in in the 4th quarter. Griz did wear them down and churn on them late in the game.

Yep, they really looked horrible in the first half. Dixie finally just wore out. The griz have had a few key injuries and their starters are having to play deep into each game. The cats depth is going to be much better and more experienced by the late season.

Losing Cam Humphrey clearly hurt. Maybe not a great player, but a lot of time with the team and quite a few starts. Did Kris Brown play quarterback? I was surprised that Dixie State had enough horsepower to hang in there. I watched (on TV) their first game against Weber State and it was a disaster, pretty much.

A few posters above mentioned that once there is tape OCs will find weaknesses. Starting with Cal Poly I’d say that has happened to some extent. Still a very good defense but not what they were for the first few weeks.

They have a decent amount of good players, but that defense relies a lot on smoke and mirrors. It’s not a very common defense, so teams aren’t familiar with it, and they use a lot of trickery. Figure it out though, and it can be beaten.

I think the griz will be fine with Brown at QB. It's his first game, I'm sure there were a ton of nerves leading up to this. Once he gets a couple games under his belt he'll be fine and the griz will be a tough team to beat.
