Wyoming "pulls it out" again
After taking an early lead and building the score, Wyoming managed to fall behind again as N Illinois scored with 4:56 remaining to go ahead 43-42. Wyoming countered with 1:35 to go, winning 50-43.

Re: Wyoming "pulls it out" again
Wyoming beat Ball State worse than Penn State beat Ball State. So that can only mean one thing. Wyoming should be ranked ahead of PSU this week, amirite?!?!??

Re: Wyoming "pulls it out" again
The stats had Muma with 12 total tackles with 10 solo, 1 TFL, 1 PD (pass deflected I guess), 1 pass interception (from the PD?) and he scored off the interception....

That dude is a beast. They played a great game on defense and have a few dudes on that side of the ball. Another easy game next week against UConn, so they should be 4-0 going into MWC play.

Wyoming might be the worst 4-0 team in the country. They are very inconsistent.

Got beat by Air Farce. QB was shaky for Wyoming. They play Fresno State this week. That'll be tough.

Re: Wyoming "pulls it out" again
I think if we played Wyoming now, we would win the game. Our offense at Wyoming was not in rhythm; even at PSU they looked out of sorts the 1st half. I think the offense has found their stride and would now score more than 16 against the Cowboys and the defense would stifle their offense once again.

I'm inclined to think you are correct. Or at least the Cats win 60-70% of the time. The Butcher wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 7:07 amI think if we played Wyoming now, we would win the game. Maybe, but I also have to keep reminding myself that the three teams we dominated just flat our are not very good teams. Really anxious to see how the Cats play tonight. The Butcher wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 7:07 amI think if we played Wyoming now, we would win the game. Re: Wyoming "pulls it out" again
They aren't, but it's still impressive to be able to dominate all of those games. Cripes, remember when we barely beat Bryant? A lot of good teams have a hard time pummeling bad teams. Let alone five in a row. I guess we didn't pummel PSU, but dominated from mid-second quarter on.catatac wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 2:06 pmMaybe, but I also have to keep reminding myself that the three teams we dominated just flat our are not very good teams. Re: Wyoming "pulls it out" again
Wyoming lost, but did a lot better than I thought they would. Their offense is too weak to be a serious contender in the MWC. Good D, no O. Lost 17-0 to Fresno State.

Wyoming’s season has gone in the ditch. Lost to SJSU yesterday. I think that’s four straight losses.

At this point I think you could get a fair number of Wyo fans to actually agree with that even. The Butcher wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 7:38 amI stand by it; if the Cats played Wyoming today Cats get the W.

I don't think it's a stretch to say the cats were the better team even on that day. They really should have won the game. The Butcher wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 7:38 amI stand by it; if the Cats played Wyoming today Cats get the W.
