I work as an attorney so that I can afford good scotch, which helps me to forget that I work as an attorney.

From South Park is it not?

PS I was drunk Friday night so if anyone wants to start a thread about that, bring it on. However, I didn't almost start a fight but I'm pretty sure I thought about pushing an elderly lady out of the way.

For what it's worth, I'll probably be in SF sooner than I'm back in MT, and I'll probably buy you a beer anyway (gotta congratulate you on the whole "getting engaged" thing).

As for couchert -- it may be next holiday season before I'm anywhere near bozo, but remind me; I'm a man of my word. :)

I'll hold you to it, I might even make it two seeing as how you butchered my name  Must have went to school in Missoula with that kind of spelling. (Just kidding)

LOL, you guys are so damn hard-headed. I DON'T CARE IF HE DRINKS, OR IS IN A BAR.

Honestly, I wasn't trying to "smear" his name. Again, for the 157th time, I was just saying he should probably watch himself. Again, he's a high profile person (Celebrity may be a little strong) in Bozeman who doesn't need to be thrown in jail for fighting while being phucked up. I do cheer for Dissly and the other MT kids at Bozeman.

He!!, Durr and Durham were in there too. Didn't talk to Durham, but did to Durr. I even offered to buy Durr a beer, but he said "Thanks, but I had enough and need to go home". I also told him I think he had a good year and that I wished he would have gotten to play more. His response, "I need to practice harder". Didn't blame the coach or anyone but himself--I'm a huge Durr fan now, kids classy.

Also, once again, I don't have a problem w/ Diss in the bar drinking, I'm just saying he should be more careful by not looking to fight anyone.

Had my name been Billings_Cat (or Cat fan w/ any name), you guys would see where I'm coming from. But being a Griz fan (and a fan of Bobcat players from MT), I get hammered on here.

Ok, for you one sided, narrow minded engineers: You were in a bar in Missoula and a Griz player, drunk as he!!, was up pointing fingers at some guy (smaller, 5-10 or so) and asking him if he want's to fight. You wouldn't bring it up? Bullschitt. ](*,)

CelticCat, I'm bowing out. Talking to some of you guys is like telling my 7 year old to put his toys away.

Good luck in Flagstaff...oh, I forgot. Sorry.

Like I said, your comments were legite until you told BAC "I hope you don't have kids." Then you said "Too bad he didn't lose his scholarship." Then you tried to compare a fight that didn't happen to a player getting a DUI. Next, you called a moderator a douchebag, and wished Dissly would get kicked out of MSU so he could play in the Frontier conference.

So how exactly am I supposed to take these remarks?

And don't say we gave you crap cuz you are a Griz fan. You posted this in the smack forum wished ill-will on a Cat player. No CAT fan would do that.

now here is why i am probibly not the most popular person on bn, i would have to agree with him. if there was a griz player only on his first beer jokeing around acting drunk it would be on the bn smack section or "college athletics" t minus 1 minute after it happened

nothing against ya billings you seem to be a good man but the tone of your origional post smelt somthing like smack which will get discredited

For the record I drank in a bar with some Griz football players a couple weekends ago, but I'm not giving a report on them.

Again, I would be happy to give you a long list of references that would attest that I would have challenged you regardless of what your handle was -- I am an equal opportunist in that regard. When I challenge you for tattling on a kid on the internet, it is sincere. You're name could have been BillyBoBingBobcat (I'd like to trademark that one, by the way), and I would have done the exact same thing.

And I still don't understand your motivation to make a big deal out of this non-event. If I ratted out each person I saw who had too much too drink and was going to regret something the next day ... I'd have lots and lots and lots of posts. But I just don't think the public has any need or desire to know.

And if it was, I'd still be the first person to ask why it was posted and point out that it was pointless. And then I would probably delete it. In all honesty, I was tempted to delete this one, but left it up due to the fact that I didn't want to give the appearance of coddling an MSU player or being biased in favor of MSU ... so I left it. In essence, my paranoia about being "fair" to UM actually caused me to be less sympathetic to MSU than I would have been to a UM player in the exact same circumstance.

In general, I really hate people posting anything negative about anyone else's personal life ... unless it is a matter of public record. These are college kids, and if someone allegedly gets drunk and asses out in the bar, they are going to regret it the next day. The last they need or is to have some anonymous guy post a one-sided blurb about it on a bulletin board. That's not fair, it's certainly not necessary, and it has absolutely no redeeming value to society.

If a kid breaks the law ... fine, comment on it. If a kid really impresses you, then compliment him. But I see no legitimate reason to publicly humiliate someone by repeating bar stories online.

"Do unto others" is a credo that will serve us all well in situations like this. If you wouldn't want somebody posting that level of detail about your life (and none of us would), there's a good chance you shouldn't be posting it.

you know that if the situation was reversed that there would be at least one cat fan online telling us about what happened...ie chavez although to be honest chavez had a dui. like it or not they are public figures and it is bound to come out sooner or later that they almost got into a barfight, or did some actions that could be mistaken for being belligerant in a bar. I am sure that dissley is well aware of that fact.

Hell's: I'm not saying that it wouldn't happen -- it may well. What I am saying is that is shouldn't happen. And when it does happen (Cat or Griz) we should be challenging that person to explain why they think it is so urgent that everyone knows whether a college kid had a few too many drinks on a given Saturday night.

Dissley could well expect that this sort of thing would happen with the boards (especially given the raking over the coals that he has taken this season). That doesn't make it right or make it something that we should accept.

I know you are just trying to be fair on a Cat/Griz basis, and I agree with you. What I am stressing is that regardless of the Cat/Griz basis, this kind of stuff shouldn't be posted. Give the kids some privacy.

boy, you wouldn't have wanted to see himlast night then! 8) if a 21 year old being at a bar is a big deal, i missed something. and for the record, i was at the cannery with the guys, probably saw you blgsgriz, and was one of the guys that took diss out. he wasn't very close to fighting, but there is only so much a guy can listen to from another drunk dude about how much he sucks at basketball before the trash talk starts! actually, i was kinda hoping he'd punch both guys that were talking ******! :D but whatever, that sometimes happens when alcohol is involved, and nothing happened so it was just a guy drinking with buddies. probably wont be the last time!
