dUMb Griz? DUMB Sc@t's!!

Post by MaZooLaGriz » Wed Mar 01, 2006 4:37 pm

Cats to lose 2.76 scholarships as a result of the academic standing of their football team. Griz to lose... NONE, because of the academic standing of our football team.

Kind of puts those like Longhorn, who with every send say "dUMb", on the defensive, right?[/b]

OGDEN, Utah - The Big Sky Conference's Sterling Savings Bank Presidents Cup will reside in Bozeman for the next year. Montana State and Northern Arizona tied for the award. It's the first time that MSU has won either the Presidents Cup or Combined All-Sports Trophy.

TIED?!?! Now, where have I heard THAT before?!?!

I have a feeling that Scats & bearBAC are not grads of UM, and I know that they were not athletes... So your comparison here is a little ridiculous.

The name of the thread is dUMb Griz, dUMb Scats? dUMb bearBAC?

Your argument comes from the current football scholarship issue.

Put it together.

Maybe I started this thread based on something different than you're now assuming. The title actually is: "dUMb Griz? DUMB Sc@t's!!"

The post was intended to have anything to do with bearBAC or any other poster except the "dUMb" comment in Longhorn's signature, which is tied to the FB teams' scores. And, we now know which team is at least less dumb.

Not true. This is based on graduation rates, not IQ's.

Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Well, Pussycat, the NCAA thinks the Griz should have been closer to winning than MSU!

That's funny that you put an apostrophe in the word "sc@t's" when you ripping on MSU's lack of intellect. Is it a contraction? Is there ownership?

The difference between UM and MSU is that you would fail an english class for doing that MSU, but while at UM you would get a B+.

Um... no, not much ownership of anything, really. Point taken. However:
-------------------------------------------
Some sources (e.g. Practical English Usage, Michael Swan, Oxford University Press, 1997) indicate that we can use apostrophes if we want to make a plural form of a noun that does not normally have one: "I am afraid there are too many if’s and but’s for me to approve the plan."
--------------------------------------------
"Cat's" is used as a single term that includes fans, players and coaches. But hey... I'll take that B+.
