Bummer, the kid wanted a shot at the FBS, hope he does well.
Anyway, they likepy offered him a scholarship which means full-ride in the FBS. WKU has developed some NFL QB talents over the years as well. Good luck to Grady!
Now let's focus on who wants to come here. Its a great class.

Well, good luck to him. I hope he does well. Tough for his family to watch many games though.

With Robison, that sucks. I was a fan of his. Hard to blame him for taking the chance at FBS football.
If anything, take this. It was a good, early evaluation by our staff to land Robison. Didn't work out. Hope he does well in Kentucky.

I think I jinx'ed it with my comment early today.
Best of luck to Robison, tough road over there but I completely get wanting to play FBS ball.

On the bright side, Charles Brown confirmed he'll be signing on the 18th.
Glad we're hanging on to him! He's a top talent!

I’m just here to say good luck to the kid and reassure everyone that Tommy Mellott is the man. The kid is all business. The kid has been putting in the time since he was 13/14 years old. He will be outworked by no one. He is super smart and tough as nails. He definitely has the it factor, and is like a coach on the field. The kid to be excited about is still coming, period.

Easy fella, you can’t look at one sided ya it sucks as a Bobcat fan to lose a quality recruit but can’t hate a kid for wanting to try and play at the highest level...and whose to say if he gets homesick or doesn’t like the situation once he gets down there he can’t always transfer back here...good luck to him.vike_king wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2019 4:12 pmBullshiRT, I hope he continually pulls a groin........HIS OWN!BigBruceBaker wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2019 2:42 pmI think I jinx'ed it with my comment early today.

I wonder sometimes how honest coaches are with these kids. Robinson could have came to MSU, tore it up in the FCS and have a legitimate possibility to play football post-college. At FBS and at Western Kentucky, he will probably get to play, but it’s going to be a long shot to stand out, plus a Big Sky team would be a top tier team in the Conferance USA. Must had been a great offer and I wish the best for him.

Yes I agreed I should not have said that Choate struggles with keeping commitments, the players that came to mind never verbaled. My mistake I own that I phrased it improperly.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2019 4:23 pmBrock Purdy? He never even verballed to MSU. It’s always disappointing when we lose a commit so late in the recruiting cycle but I’m still stoked about this class, we have a transfer and two guys that played highly at the QB position in the state of Montana coming in. Plus lots of other great recruits.

I looked up the 2018 attendance figures for Western Kentucky and they get fewer (14,200) fans per game than the Cats (16,400). The Cat figures include that one 10,000 person playoff game that brought down the yearly average. I know WKU is FBS, but there isn’t much of a difference between that program and a Big Sky school. Anyway, like I wrote before, I hope he does amazing things there.

Maybe he thinks he can’t compete with Mellott or is disappointed we brought in McKay

Trying to be positive here, maybe we have a different QB recruit coming that we don’t know about and Robinson was informed of it so he went else where!? Just looking through my blue and gold glasses! Lol

I can’t imagine McKay would have affected anything.Long Time Cat wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2019 9:46 pmMaybe he thinks he can’t compete with Mellott or is disappointed we brought in McKay
He’s the same age as Rovig, so whether it’s McKay or Rovig, the starter is likely in place for the next two years.
It was very likely that ANY incoming freshman QB will be redshirted and developed for another year before possibly taking over In their third year.
Obviously I have no inside info, I’d just be surprised if McKay affected Robison’s switch in any way.
