I was actually being serious. Maybe the secondary is seriously one of the best out there and is not enabling the QBs to show any talent. I’ve chatted with many who think this may be the best Cats defense in a long time. The Griz OL will be improved but still will have a ways to go in my opinion.

Jake Constantine for Weber State started 11 out of 12 games and threw a whopping 183 ypg and 18 TDs. Why did Weber win its 2nd straight BSC title with such mediocre QB play? The kid was efficient and didn't make mistakes. They had an experienced and productive OL, strong and experienced stable of RBs, and some truly dynamic and dangerous receivers. They also had an exceptional defense at all levels including a shut-down secondary.

Can Rovig or Bauman play efficiently, limit mistakes, and take what's available in the passing game just like Constantine even if the result is under 200 yards per game? Yes. Do we need one of these guys to throw for 300 yards every game in EWU fashion, or recreate the same magic of QBs past to win the conference championship and make a playoff run this year? No.

I guess I too am a well-connected fan. I haven't missed a practice yet and I'm friends with several members of our staff. And I can say with 1000% certainty that there weren't at least 6 picks today. These "well-connected" fans are either trolling you or you're just making things up.

That said, I wasn't blown away with the qb's today. But the defense looks great despite not getting 6 or more interceptions.

I have been at every practice also. Did not see 6 interceptions today. However the defense had a very good day after a bad day yesterday. The offense dominated on Sunday and both QBs looked very sharp. There are going to be good days and bad days in fall camp on both sides of the ball. Both QBs are way improved over last year and will get better each day with more reps. The next test will be when they are in pads, seeing how they react to pressure.

I just watched a video highlighting the DBs from today’s practice and the video showed at least four interceptions. Who threw those interceptions, I don’t know. Could there have been 6 thrown today, it’s possible. We’re they all thrown by one QB, doubtful. It does appear that the Cats secondary is playing well to kick off camp. However, the defense usually has a leg up on the offense to start off camp. Fingers crossed the needle begins to move back towards the offense as they move closer to the season opener.

Just saw the press release for the day. There were 5 picks thrown. They were one off, are you sure you were at the same practice. You made it sound like there were one or two, you know, with all that certainty.
