Over on egriz they have a post celebrating their first undefeated football season ever in 1969....fifty years ago. Someone else can check to see if there was another one. Anyway, somehow it escaped them after going 10-0 in the regular season they managed to humiliate the BSC and the State of Montana by getting trounced on 12-13-69 in the Camellia Bowl by North Dakota State 30-3. I may be wrong, but that there looks like 10-1
If a 30-3 loss to NDSU was such an embarrassment and humiliation then that absolute ass pounding you guys took last year to NDSU was really something. What was that score again
At least the Bobcats made it to the playoffs to play NDSU. What were the Griz doing that day?
Not getting embarrassed on a national stage. At least the Griz are competitive with those gravy lickers
Whoa, timeout timeout timeout.
Timeout.

I just got my calculator to double check your math. I came up with the same thing.

You guys are so touchy over here. It’s half the fun. Actually Griz have been pretty damn competitive with NDSU during their run. After the Bison absolutely trucked you guys at home 42-17 in 2010, that’s when they put themselves on the map.
Griz played them at NDSU in 2014 and only lost 22-10. Then Griz won at home in 2015 38-35. Then lost in playoffs that same year 37-6. Griz have been much more competitive with bison than cats. Just a fact.

GA help me out. Is a team undefeated and worthy of a 50 year anniversary press release in a 10-1 season? Yes NDSU trucked the grizz 30-3 in this undefeated season, but measuring dick size by comparing humiliating losses at the hands of the Bison is not the purpose of this thread.

When you win barely win your home opener, then get trucked 37-6 by the same team later in the year that earlier win becomes what is known as a fluke. Kind of like when you win your first ten games, but lose the last one it becomes known as not an undefeated season. Yes, explaining this to you is half the fun. Hope you’re enjoying it as much as I am.

Losing to NDSU is not exactly a sin. They have had an amazing run. Since 1925 they have won 35 conference championships, going undefeated nine times and another eleven "griz style" (1 loss) "undefeated" seasons.
In all those years the Bobcats have heldup well going 12-11 overall vs. NDSU and actually beating them twice in 1976 when the Cats were on their way to a National Championship finishing 12-1...aka "undefeated".
Actually, in some absurd way it's more fun to be a griz.

I’ll take a close win over a loss any day specially a humiliating loss like the cats had last year. At least you had to show up and play them that time instead of bailing like you did a couple years prior. That team wanted some payback and boy did they take it out on your kitties.

On the spectrum on humiliating losses: where does having a 22-0 lead at home in the first half, and losing rank?

Me, too. That’s why the playoff win over NDSU, which is one more than UM has, is so sweet. Winning is good. MSU beat NDSU twice that year proving the first win wasn’t a lucky fluke. But you seem to like fluke wins, so you probably don’t care that MSU beat them twice.

If the Griz don’t acknowledge that 10-1 isn’t an undefeated season, then they probably don’t know they lost after leading 22-0. Ignorance is bliss.

The almighty jizzlies also lost to NDSU in Missoula when NDSU was still a DII school. Does that odd fact escape your simpleton mind??

Griz fans have an issue with you calling timeout. I don't think they think you called it in time.....

Ummmmm...dunderhead, I don't think that the score was really the point of the post.....
He’s the one who stated how embarrassing it was for not just the state of MT but even the entire Big Sky. If you’re gonna make a statement like that, then look at your own 52-10 ass trouncing.
Still don’t get it, do you? The whole point.....oh never mind.
Maybe he could tell us about Monte. Just as much off subject.
Or champ in a rainbow tutu
