New NAU Coach
Looks like NAU is hiring Memphis DC Chris Ball as their new head coach. If the name sounds familiar, it's because he was one of the finalists for the MSU job when Choate was hired (Ball was at Arizona State at the time). It'll be weird seeing NAU without Jerome Souers on the sideline!

NAU hires Chris Ball
Here is some of the press release;
Northern Arizona University announced on Monday the hiring of Chris Ball as the new head football coach of the Lumberjacks, replacing longtime coach Jerome Souers, who accepted a new role with the school recently.
Ball has most recently been the defensive coordinator at Memphis under head coach Mike Norvell, who once was an assistant at Arizona State. Before that, Ball was a coach at ASU himself, serving after a co-defensive coordinator after a year of being the passing game coordinator and safeties coach.
He has also served on the staffs at Washington State, Pittsburgh, Alabama and others.
I post this because Chris Ball was a finalist for the MSU job while he was the Co-Defensive Coordinator at Arizona State, along with Choate and others. His resume is quite similar to Choate's. I suspect he'll be another good coach in the BSC to compete against.
