What a 'clever' way to disguise open sections in the stands.

Kudos to the Griz! Griz fans in these seats get their tickets 48 hours in advance (after seats assigned based on empty section sales data). A lot of new stadiums paint the seats different colors to have the effect of making the stands look fuller than they are. The Griz took it a step further

I actually think this is a pretty cool idea, and probably smart by UM as a way to turn single-game ticket buyers who might attend a couple games a year into season-ticket holders who could potentially upgrade to more expensive seats in the future.

This will just drive down the cost of tickets purchased on the bridge as there will be um fans that think this will be a clever way to make money.
