I don't believe in an instant return to glory. Anything short of a NDSU type dominance and egriz will implode on itself. Unrealistic expectations are a trademark for egriz. The one thing I am grateful for is that the student conduct code sets punishment for transgressions and not the coach.[/quote]
I am sorry, but the only thing wrong with this statement is that the student conduct code only comes into play when a player is CAUGHT doing something. It is my belief based on numerous stories coming from Missoula that Hauck was very good at getting these things swept under the rug quite often so they never reached this level.
Not going to happen this time. Waaaay too much scrutiny and people that will be looking for players to F up. There will be no rug sweeping for Bobby and there will be no "Miss one quarter of a cupcake game." for players getting arrested. grizatwork is spot on here, including the part about this not being an instant fix. There will be "FIRE HAUCK" threads on egriz in 2018 - that I can promise you.

That's one way to look at it, and I do hope you're right.
Another way to look at it is Hauck has even more incentive to keep bad behavior out of the public eye, because he knows he's on a short leash.

He's a controversial coach, deserved or not.
How many pages would you have on egriz if MSU had hired back Kramer instead of Choate? Same thing.

Of course it does, and it sure had been an entertaining few years watching the StittShow dumpster fire. Will be interesting to watch this thing from afar and see how far Stitt set the program back. Will Bobby be able to make UM relevant again and if so, how many years will it take? Stay tuned

Great time to be a BOBCAT!

I have mentioned before that a descriptive nick-name for BH would be coach stink. If anyone is wondering where the stink comes from... it comes from all that gets swept under the rug.

I talked with a former Griz player today who wore the number 37 his senior year. It caught me off gaurd that he was no fan of BH and not all that thrilled with the rehire.

If you're looking for someone with a little authority, I'm your man. I have as little as anyone!

Watched a couple of minutes of the press conference with Hauck, the guy had to keep looking at his notes for answers. Come on Rob! You want to beat your rival, win the conference and win a national championship. Never heard a coach mention that before! He wants his players to get a degree! Really Rob, you needed notes for that???

On kitten nation. Four of the top seven threads are about the Griz. And none of the top sixteen treads have anything to do with the cats

Huh that's weird. It's almost like there was bigger news yesterday... Huh.
There have been more than 5 over the last week, even with your coaching search happening, and you know it, you ding dong.
It's an obsession with some of you guys.

It's highly intelligent stuff over there too. Like today in the "Phlugard" thread it says that "Phlugard" owned the Cats!
Pretty sure he was 1-1 against the Cats, officially 0-1. Solid Cats info over there.
And hopefully they can spell "Hauck".

griz fans here (Johnny Be Good Scats) and on egriz can't stop thinking about the Cats - seeking validation I suppose...
Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Ya, Bobby doesn't exactly strike any fear in me. He did great at UM the first time around but he stepped into a sure thing back then... They already had all the talent and momentum in the world. I think his time at UNLV was the true measure of his coaching ability. People say it's tough to coach at UNLV but I think Bobby did worse there than any of the coaches before him. Reminds Me of people saying, ya, Stitt never won at CSOM but it wasn't his fault, tough place to recruit to.
See ya in November Bobby.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!
