Actually, I've been going to damn near every Griz home BB game (and a occasional road one) since back when Morill was coach. As I've said multiple times on EGriz, and Grizzlyboards.com, I get more anxious waiting for BB season to start than I do Football season. Which is why I'm more active during BB season on the boards

Not saying that I don't really enjoy attending every Griz home FB game (and the occasional road one) too..

So, the Griz BB games against the cats Always count to me. Its just sad that some of your 'fans', even though the cats are doing fairly well so far this season (2-1 in conference is a pretty good start) still aren't willing to give the cat BB team the support they deserve. These type of 'fans' (Yes, the Griz have some like this too of course) would jump off the Cat football bandwagon as soon as they aren't a top 25 team for a few years in a row, and they'd be making smartass comments about how FB isn't a real sport, or just stop paying attention to it all together.

you are now my favorite example of a worthless, pathetic griz fan. You don't post on here for MONTHS, mainly because the Griz STUNK UP the stadium at Cat/Griz football.

My posts don't slam the bobcats, quite the contrary, I actually commended the effort of the team and coaches, defending Durham Sr and Jr...

My slam is at you and folks like you. You bash me for simply wanting to know why it is acceptable to be heard on TV chanting stupid stuff and embarassing the entire program, a program that I do in fact support through my local spending and taxes. Now while I admit the local stuff is probably a little over the top, I am still waiting for someone to address the issue at hand...Nobody, save Hells Bells, admitted to the stupidity of the bobcat "cheers" and the embarassment they cause.

Frankly, I would be just as upset if this was done in Missoula. The difference this, on the Griz site, you will get Griz fans who will not justify this kind of behavior and here you get Cat fans who do...

Here are my comments regarding the STUDENT'S behavior, which I scribed EARLIER today on the Athletics forum:

"When there are children in attendance, that sort of stuff is definitely out of line. We can all shrug our shoulders and say "it happens everywhere" but I really don't think it would be too much to ask for Peter Fields to take up a microphone before the next Cat/Griz game at the Brick and ask the students to clean up their act a bit.

I didn't get to watch or listen to the game yesterday, but if what is being said is true, THE KIDS THAT DID IT should be embarrassed, not a bunch of GOOD Cat fans who can't really do anything about it.

For my part, I will be emailing Mr. Fields to request that he address this unfortunate trend. "
