I loved watching his teams play. Wetzel. Selvigs. Johnson. Great defense and physical but even more important, he returned to Spokane and turned a former conference school into something special because of his loyalty to the school. For all the success he achieved, he remembered that one school that gave him his chance. I would hope the many coaches he mentored remember his values and give back to their opportunities equally.
