Jesse Marunde

Monday night I was watching the World's Strongest Man Contest on ESPN...yes I need to get a life. The contest was in China and the leader was some guy from Poland who looked like he could rip the a$$ out of an elephant. In second place was a tall, 340 pound American named Jesse Marunde. The name struck a note so I pulled out an old Press Guide and sure enough found Jesse Marunde on the Bobcat football roster. I'm 99% sure the two are one and the same based on the photo in the press guide. The new Jesse has dyed his hair blonde. So, like former linebacker great Jim Kalafat (AKA Jim Starr) who became part of the American Gladiator troupe, Jesse has found a new life in quasi-show biz.
Sorry I can't tell you how it turned out because I fell asleep.

I remember that guy. He was a terrible football player.

Thanks BAC. I note in the link Jesse and Calli have a seven year old named Dawson who should be ready to play nose tackle for the Cats in a year or two

If I remember correctly I believe he got booted off the football team for a positive steriod test.
