Show me proof he offered them. I find it amusing that someone with no more factual information than what was posted tells us all to believe him because he said "according to me."FootballFan wrote:Yes according to me, I find it amusing that the majoritity of people reading this forum will go along with whatever Kramer says! How dare anyone speak evil the of the King. He offered each of the three players, now that he didn't get them he speaks ill will of each! Right!
Should we go along with whatever you say?

this has been posted before, but here's my take. there is a rumor out there that kramer gave swogger a deadline to sign. griz fans were really lettin us have it that we would dare to give a kid a deadline to sign. now, the rumor that kramer really wanted all three of these kids. i'm not saying that either of these are true or untrue as i have no idea. but common sense says that if a coach really wants a kid, he will be flexible, and wouldn't give the kid a deadline to sign. so it is possible, that while swogger might be a great qb, and a great fit for um, he might not have been the right fit for us. i think we need to see that all kids are not the same. there are many great kids that play for BOTH programs that just might not be the right guy for the other. am i way off here?FootballFan wrote:Yes according to me, I find it amusing that the majoritity of people reading this forum will go along with whatever Kramer says! It sounds like we probably offered Swogger, but there isn't any hard evidence that supports that.
As for Chambers, I really have no idea if we offered him or not. It sounds like we talked to him, and showed some initial interest, but other than that it's hard to tell how strongly we persued him.

Groves outplayed him in the Brawl. I think were just fine in our backfield. And with us having an inexperienced QB, lets give it to hime 25 times a game. And we should use short passes to keep the D honest. What do we got coming back Defensively. I know Papich is back and a couple others. Are we sticking with the 3-4? Any good recruits on that side of the ball?

We have some very nice gems coming back on the defensive side of the ball. Papich/Kolone/Siataga/Lowe/Matakis/Daly/King/Force/Dane Fletcher/Gazzero/Fuller/Austin Just to name a few. Just need to add some depth and have a few Gems (Mauia/Fletcher/Gazerro) show themselves like Daly did last year and we should be pretty much set on that side. I would say we will probably be running the 4-3 next year.cats22 wrote:Groves outplayed him in the Brawl. I think were just fine in our backfield. Couple that with that JC LB we have coming in (sounds like a player) and maybe 1 or 2 more DL for depth and the defense has the makings of a very good defense next year. We need someone in the secondary to step up like Hunter did last year as well.

Ahhh yes, how could I forget about him. I hope he is an animal for us this year inside. Hoffenbacker/Matakis/Siataga for 2 DT spots and Lowe/Kolone/Papich for other 2 DE spots (assuming we are running a 4-3). That should be a pretty darn good front 4 with some depth next year. Hopefully Papich continues to get bigger as well (he made huge strides last year). We should have the beef up front next year that will free up our fast LB's to go in for the kill.wbtfg wrote:Don't forget about Hoffenbacker.CARDIAC_CATS wrote:We have some very nice gems coming back on the defensive side of the ball. I am really fired up about the returning defensive players. I think that the youngsters that got field experience on KO cover and returns really developed nicely and we will see some great things next year.
With continued successes against the hated griz, I see us getting more of the quality athletes that we recruit head to head with the griz. One thing to keep in mind too, is that we are not always having to fill the same needs. That being said, "we really didn't want him" could hold a lot of truth on several kids each year.

Took the words right out of my mouth, wbtfg. Don't forget that Kramer has already stated that Brandon may end up being the greatest D-lineman our STATE has ever produced. I know personally that he's got the perfect disposition to be great: MEAN & NASTY.wbtfg wrote:Don't forget about Hoffenbacker.
