I'd guess that Weber is eliminated. Even with a win over Poly next week. Weber's schedule is just too weak to justify an invite at 7-4. Many other posters here might disagree with me.
I dont, and when the Griz lose next week to Northern Colorado and end up with a 7-4 record, there is noway the playoff committee picks Weber over UM when they unjustly put UM back in the playoff with a really really bad team that doesnt deserve to be there. Money over substance will prevail

There is a 49% chance you win, we are that bad..............I have been saying it for months.

True question- if the griz win do you think they still get the nod?

We shouldnt even at 8-3 but there is a 100% chance they get in at 7-4 if they win next weekend.

I will be flat floored if the committee doesnt put them in simply because of the $$$$ WGS pulls in

I doubt it because of being in 8th place in the BSC. I believe the only way they get in is to finish at least in the top 5 or maybe top 4.

I don't think they get in at 7-4. It will be a Christmas miracle if they do. This will be the first time in like 24 years that neither Montana team is in the playoffs. Playing for nothing but bragging rights next week in what is now pegged the Brawl of the Mild.

Griz are very much alive for a playoff spot.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

A result of a watered down 24 team field and a big Sky schedule that will always have 1 or 2 teams with infated records because they don't play every team in the conference.

Weber, Cal Poly and Northern Colorado all have 6-4 records and all of them beat UM. Two will finish 7-4 and one 6-5. Unless the committee selects five from the Big Sky a remote possibility exists that the committee will select a 6-5 Grizzly team with five conference losses. I doubt it though.

Well this just happened to boil down the way I was describing. I didn't predict it, but wondered if it would. It looks like, if they both win, WSU and UM could be fighting for that last spot. WSU's win over Cal Poly is going to help them tremendously. There is no head-to-head game, so SOS and common opponent should determine who gets the spot. That seems to favor WSU.

The stadium size and money seem to favor Montana.......

It would if the SOS and common opponent was similar. UM may get in without being a bubble team anyway, so it may be a moot point.

The guru still has the Griz in with a win. I must admit that surprises me. I still think they need some help from other teams to have a shot.

Interesting. I can't imagine a world where a mid-tier BSC gets 5 teams, while the MVFC only gets 4. Crazier things have happened, though...
