Dakota not the first...

Post by Mr Lisle » Sat Jun 11, 2016 11:58 am

After starting seven games as a redshirt freshman at Weber State in 1993 Brad Otton opted to transfer to the University of Southern California. He had thrown for 2,307 yards and 15 touchdowns. Part of the inspiration may have been generated by the factual rumor Weber State was considering dropping the football program. In '94 Otton was a back-up but still played in seven games, including two starts. He started in 1995 and split time throughout the season. He was the starting quarterback in the 1996 Rose Bowl, a 41-32 win over Northwestern going 29-44, 391 yards and 2 TD's. In 1996 he was the full-time starter in an up-and-down season for USC who finished 6-6.
There have been several BSC transfers to D1A/FBS, but this is the only quarterback I can recall.

You must have thought "wow, the guy that started this thread must be a genius". So then you decided to quote him?
