No, you're right. The way our league is structured kind of inhibits a lot of trading. I wish we had it set up (and it can be) to where you place different values on keepers. In my other league last year, the player you keep takes the pick in the round ahead of where he was drafted the previous year. So if Cespedes was drafted in round 5 last year, he'd be a 4th round keeper this year. Just an example of how it can be molded. It's just dependent on the commissioner and the league settings. I wish we could change that to be able to select values on keepers based on ADP or something.wbtfg wrote:CatBlitz wrote:Trades aren't necessarily limited to rounds 1-4. But that's fine. I'll just find another suitor...wbtfg wrote:Lots of really good players, but no one I'm wanting to lose a pick and a keeper slot for.CatBlitz wrote:On the block:

Haha......Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but If I have zero keepers and trade you Cespedes for a 5th round pick. Cespedes would then essentially become my first round pick (because then I'd have to keep him) and I'd also lose a 5th. I wouldn't be able to still have my top 4 picks and cespedes in place of a 5th rounder....is that right?

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Re: Fantasy Baseball
Couple weeks out from opening day. Can we get a draft date/time poll up?

Got my growler from Bridger Brewing ready to go - decided that Bryce Harper will be my only keeper this year.

Yeah that was a good pick. I like most of my team. Might need some OF depth though.wbtfg wrote:I was stoked to have picked up machado.

Re: Fantasy Baseball
So guys, why are there so many of you that have basically abandoned your teams? There are like 5 teams that haven't made lineup changes in weeks. Players not on the DL that are sitting there, players on the DL that have been in starting lineups week after week. No one responds to any trade offers.
If your team is abandoned or you don't care anymore, maybe consider having someone else take over for you. Am I being too irrational here?

Maybe, if the people who read this forum agree, we should send an email between now and the all star break seeing who's not interested in participating. In turn, we could also use this thread to accumulate new owners who might be more active

Re: Fantasy Baseball
I'd pick up one team. My fantasy baseball league dissolved a few years ago and I've been jonesing to get back in.
