Winning is the best recourse. Do what you can to help that happen and save yourself the grief. Their winning has allowed them to developed their current attitude and our winning is the only thing that will change it.

"Their winning"... what exactly? The brawl? I will give them that, Stitt is 1 and 0 against us with Ash at the helm. Kudos. We'll see how he fares against Choate and Co. (For the Griz fans out there, no - I am not predicting anything, let's just see how things shake out.)

Stitt's Griz are 8-5, which I believe is much in line with Stitt's lifetime winning percentage. (Ash's was considerably higher, for the record.)
You can whine about griz coach, player and fan behavior or attitude till your hoarse. Do you think Cats complaining will do anything but encourage the same???

The only thing that will change it is the Cats consistently beating them. Actually curb stomping their ass would be better. So if you seriously want to change the current environment, spend less time on rhetoric and figure out what you can personally do to help Cats win.

Post away. I'm just suggesting whining about anything griz only fuels their fire.

Ya. Do what you think will help. I suggest send more $$$. But by all means, you gotta do what you feel right about.

Let's us know how you think that works.

I can bitch about the griz, praise the uni combos, and write a check, all at the same time. I'm that kinda guy. 8)

Your comments are really ironic coming from you. The guy who complains we have too many uniforms combos when a fundraiser is announced to sell old helmets. I am sure your comments will help us win some more games (sarcasm intended). I will bet it also helped the program sell more helmets and raise more money as well....

As for debates with the Griz, there is nothing wrong with discussing our difference of opinion. That is what makes our rivalry so great, so heated and so passionate. Additionally, Griz1st been has very respectable in his and brought up some good points. I personally think Stitt is an a-hole but that is really due to his antics over the past year and not when he was hired.

Also, Griz1st, I would love to hear your thoughts about the fan base in regard to Stitt. You may not be in the majority when talking about how great Stitt has been. I have talked to large number of Griz fans who are definitely wavering in their support. I think actions have a alienated a lot of fans. One long time season ticket holder told mr skipped two games this year which he has never done. Another said he might trade in his colors for blue and gold. He was definitely joking but clearly displeased with Stitt.

Stitt doesn't bother me in a the least. I just find it hilarious when he says something blatantly false and the Griz dolts defend it.

What a dumb statement. Can't buy their way in? How long did it take you to come up with that? Maybe you were referring to the UM professors and staff that lost their jobs?

Back to the initial question after a break from idiotland by GRZFNZ, has a portion of Griz fans become wary of Stitt?

Touché.

I'm sure you can do those and more. Lol

You know what studies say about multi -taskers........ They can get lots of things accomplished, but none of them particularly well.

Boosters that thought money bought them influence, dumbass. I figured a bright ag alum (or perhaps you don't have a degree yet) would be able to figure that out....but then again.

If you reread my original posts you'll find I never said we ought not have the helmet sales.

Also never said I like Stitt. Just said he's telling his boosters what they want to hear.

Maybe slow down a little

Serious question - How many Cat fans would rather have Stitt than Ash, if he hadn't been fired.

Talk about slow... Somebody posted a fundraiser on the helmets and you went on a diatribe about how we have too many uniform combos. You weren't exactly helping out the effort to raise funds. It's ironic because you are spewing out advice about whining. According to you in the Stitt post, whining only fuels the fire. Isn't that what you were doing with the uni combos?

You apparently failed your communications courses. Your quote: "Some of those fans who dont care for Stitt are no longer able to buy their way in." Not sure how you draw any conclusions from the topic at hand. I also fail to see any link to your statement about influence and money. My question posed to Griz1st was pretty specific. Although your presence in idiot land might be affecting your compression level.

By the way, MSU business grad and also have an MBA from U of M. That means masters degree if you are still in idiot land.

What happens when you sell one of the uni options????? This upper level math, right. I am happy about the sale.

Again read slowly. Never said "don't buy helments".

Hey quit bickering amongst yourselves. Starting to sound like Egriz over here.

..........

He was definitely joking but clearly displeased with Stitt.

.........

First of all I'm not certain yet if Stitt has been great but he seemed to do alright with the cards that were dealt him this first year. The Griz fans you know are certainly a different crowd than I know. Does everyone have praise for him? Certainly not. I will say this.....as far as the direction he is going to make good things happen on the field I see a lot more support for him than I did for Mick. Don't get me wrong, everyone loved the guy but there were some similarities with Ash if you know what I mean. (yawn)

What someone said about "buying their way in" or whatever is true. Stitt does business a little different than Delaney did. That ticked off a few people, including some boosters. They just need to get used to the new normal. Stitt isn't as stubborn as some make him out to be and he wants the kids to be great on and off the field. I know several of the players and they all pretty much have the same opinion of Stitt......give it your all on and off the field and you will do fine. He means business but is the first to sit down with a player to have a one on one and discuss any concerns they have and work with them to address them, even if it means compromise.

So as far as a "large amount of Griz fans wavering in their support" I'm not certain how to take that. I guess if they/I/we are still a bit skeptical then yes. Again, I'm optimistic and only time will tell if he is going to crash this car or get it hitting on all cylinders and elevate this program to where it once was.

As I mentioned before, if the ship sinks. The Captain is most certainly the one to blame in this case. To sum it up, things are so different, on so many levels, than they have been for years prior it's gonna take a while for some Griz fans to get used to. Hopefully a better record and a deeper playoff run will get them on board. Time will tell, time will tell.

To appease you, I tried to read slower and came to a new conclusion: you are a stubborn fool. I never claimed you said "don't buy the helmets". I simply stated that you detracted from their efforts with your own moronic agenda: too many uni combos. Is that so hard to understand? Your whined about the uniforms for a couple of day.

In this Stitt thread, you lectured us about whining. How can the champion of whiners, 77matcat, tell others to not whine?
