Changes to Playoff?

Think I'm in favor of seeding the top 8. It would also be great to get rid of the after Thanksgiving weekend game for attendance reasons.

Re: Changes to Playoff?
Yeah. And I know it's an NCAA rule (I think it's stupid) to have at least half of the field be at-large on top of the 10 AQ's, but 24 teams is too many. Change the rule and get it back to 16. Then you can still avoid the Thanksgiving weekend.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Why do favor only seeding top 8? Top 16 seems more fair.oedipuss wrote:http://www.foxsports.com/college-footba ... ffs-012516

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Since MSU benefits from fewer seeds if we get in due to our ability to outbid nearly everyone else, why should we favor more seeds?TomCat88 wrote:Why do favor only seeding top 8? Top 16 seems more fair.oedipuss wrote:http://www.foxsports.com/college-footba ... ffs-012516

So the teams that earn them on the field get them?LongTimeCatFan wrote:Since MSU benefits from fewer seeds if we get in due to our ability to outbid nearly everyone else, why should we favor more seeds?TomCat88 wrote:Why do favor only seeding top 8? I for one am pissed off because we keep knocking our own teams out of the playoffs because we're playing Big Sky Conference against Big Sky Conference in the first round. I'd like to see more teams seated

This made me laugh. So true. I feel the same way. Pony up some money to fund a program and I'll listen. Luck into players solely because of location in a place where you're considered the minor leagues and I don't feel sorry for you.LongTimeCatFan wrote:

Yeah I didn't feel bad for SUU at all. They're kind of like a little BYU, cheap shots and all. In fact, I was glad they drew our favorite buzz saw.PapaG wrote:This made me laugh. So true. Ya I kind of feel the same, except I remember numerous years that the griz made long runs in the play offs because they were able play at home. Nothin was more entertaining than the playoff game against Coastal Carolina.
