So, by your definition - most griz fans on egriz are insecure and desperate given their childish name calling and bashing of Ash and Choate. Or is there "more to the story" that helps griz fans rationalize reality?
Well yea, that is EXACTLY what I stated above. Did you miss that part? And yes I pointed to Griz fans, too. Folks who trash coaches and players usually do so from a place of insecurity. What Stitt did in his very first year is impressive. Any rational fan, Cat/Griz/or otherwise knows that and has to admit that. I think it may only get better as he moves forward. The folks who are saying he is going to blow up the program are saying that from a place of insecurity and fear, or a desperate hope that it will actually happen.

I thought Stitt did okay - not impressive, just okay - in managing a major FCS program with a solid defense. Good luck with insecurities WITHIN the griz fan base...

Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

No doubt there are plenty of them. I'm the first to admit it. Just as there are plenty here. Passionate fan bases who both have good, bad, insecure, over confident, and just plain angry fans.

Maybe Stitt will do well, maybe not. I don't know. I don't know much, tbh.

What I do know is that many of the players don't like him...at all. Now you don't need to like your coach to win, but I could see his act wearing thin soon. Dude is a high quality prick.

As for Stitt and Gus, Gua saying he played a terrible game is in no way comparable to the way Stitt put it out there (accidentally). A player is supposed to trust his cosch. A coach is supposed to stick up for his players. Those just aren't comparable situations.

Stitt's an interesting study. He's obviously a good coach with a knack for innovation, but he's also been marketed (intentionally and by happenstance) to a point where how good he truly is has probably been inflated.

Having Legi and Gregorak in place appeared to be a good bit of fortune. It'll be interesting to see who he gets to replace them.
