Again, I think this is the year they stumble. JSU is pretty darn good this year.

JSU will give them a game. Have to get there, right? All this drama called the playoffs just so a few schools can say "We made the playoffs." The Power 5 playoff is about the right size.LongTimeCatFan wrote:Again, I think this is the year they stumble. JSU is pretty darn good this year.

Close, I'd like to see 8 in that one.Cat Grad wrote:JSU will give them a game. Have to get there, right? All this drama called the playoffs just so a few schools can say "We made the playoffs." Ours should have stayed at 16

I like the idea of six because the consenus top 2 get byes and the next 4 can play for the right to play the top two. At both the Power 5 and Small College which would include the Plus 5, FCS and Division II. They'd all have the same number of scholarships and the rest could still play bowl games.LongTimeCatFan wrote:Close, I'd like to see 8 in that one.Cat Grad wrote:JSU will give them a game. Their Defense has really come around since the beginning of the year, that's exactly the type of defense I want Choate to build here. JSU is probably the most prolific offense in FCS, but if they want to beat the champs, they got to muster some good D themselves or NDSU is going to steam roll them.LongTimeCatFan wrote:Again, I think this is the year they stumble. Sam Houston State may just be playing the best football right now. If they can keep it rolling, they will have as good as chance as NDSU to take the chipper.
The State of Montana is Bobcat country.

If this is their best there is a problem. Jacksonville state is beating them 14-0 right now.

You realize JSU took Auburn into overtime and should have won it?luckyirishguy25 wrote:Their Defense has really come around since the beginning of the year, that's exactly the type of defense I want Choate to build here. They "avalanched" SHSU today with 3 Fumbles and 1 INT for 24 points off turnovers in the first half.
And again, they have 4 drop down SEC transfer DT's.
They play defense and will beat the Thunder Buffs in Frisco.

This is a great matchup and it's too bad it's probably sold out already. Could you imagine if we'd have played the Cocks this year?LongTimeCatFan wrote:You realize JSU took Auburn into overtime and should have won it?luckyirishguy25 wrote:Their Defense has really come around since the beginning of the year, that's exactly the type of defense I want Choate to build here. I heard BadlandsGriz has tickets he wants to unload if you're looking. Not sure why he bought them though.Cat Grad wrote:This is a great matchup and it's too bad it's probably sold out already. Having tickets to the FCS natty has been and will be a good investment as long as the Bison keep going. The worst I've done is double my money. Those NoDaks got money and team spirit.
If you're looking for someone with a little authority, I'm your man. I have as little as anyone!

If J State can have an edge on Special Teams they have a great chance to derail the 5 peat. Special teams plays broke the back of Richmond, Northern Iowa and the Griz. The NDSU offense hasn't been impressive in any of the 3 games really. It's been D and special teams winning the day.

It's true that their offense hasn't been all that special with the backup QB but Carson Wentz should be healthy now. Their offense is much better with him.

Yeah I watched the SHSU vs JSU... wow JSU is really impressive, no way in hell did I think they could hold Sam Houston like that, this should be a really good championship game.LongTimeCatFan wrote:You realize JSU took Auburn into overtime and should have won it?luckyirishguy25 wrote:Their Defense has really come around since the beginning of the year, that's exactly the type of defense I want Choate to build here.
