I'm shocked, but I guess I shouldn't be.....

3rd place and host. Hmmmmm

I guess money really does drive the train. I see both sides of this one..... I would be upset if I were from another conference and saw that a third place team gets to host, but then again if you really want to host that bad then you should put more butts in the seats.

Oh well, I'll be rooting for the Griz to represent...yeah, I'm one of those who love the Cats first and the Griz second, (grew up in the diminutive shadow of Dormblazer)

Hosting in the first round is based on $$ bid, not who the better team is.

The griz could be the last team in on the bubble, and would host.

That is expected. First round is by bid. MSU did same last year for its fans.

I'm pulling for the Griz in this one. Why? Because of my propensity to cheer for winning programs (Mariners, Cowboys, Bobcats).

Ha! I root for the Bobcats, Broncos, and Braves...I'm in the same leaky canoe as you! I'll probably find myself rooting for PSU though...I just can't root for the GRIZ.

I despise the school but admire the athletic department....and there are some Montana boys on that team so I'll pull for them over ANY Dakota school.

I'd rather have nails driven in my fingers than root for the griz!!!! Hope they get blown out so we can watch the fans empty their stadium early. That being said, remember the last time Missoula hosted sdsu in a playoff game? Sdsu up like 48-10 at halftime and lost

I am not rooting for the Griz per se. I like to see Montana boys, from any school, do well in post season play.

As far as the SDSU game, if the Griz do win, then they have to head to Fargo. I have a feeling that could cause a number of Griz fans to eat crow from earlier in the season. That would be more entertaining in my mind.

This is how I see it- the further the griz go in the playoffs, with the cats sitting at home, the better chances the griz will be winning the in-state recruiting battle this year. This playoff game(s) has a huge impact on the cats future success or lack there of.

No, they've beaten teams with very good defenses (NDSU, ND). But teams with good defenses and a straight ahead power run game have made them look mediocre.

Right? Look how many people voted to essentially "just beat the griz" in lieu of going to the playoffs. Anybody wanna change there vote now? When I saw the playoffs being announced this morning it sombered me more than yesterday.
