So who's the better QB, Desin or Selle? I haven't seen either of them play. Who's the better athlete?

It is my understanding the Selle is the better QB but Desin is the better athlete. I think Desin is most likely going to be moved to another position.

You are correct.

"... a wasteland for quarterbacks"?? In ONE year?? I'm pretty sure there was a guy named...let's see... what was it again... it's been so long... ahhh... wasn't it 'Craig Ochs'? That guy was pretty good back in his day. And that day was one freakin' year ago.

Pease to Lebo to Dickinson to Ah Yat to Miller to Edwards to Ochs. A vast wasteland. Yeah, I can sure see why a talented QB wouldn't want to attend that program.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but Hauck wasn't coaching any of those QB's :)

yes. Phen did a good job at Northridge with a great QB, but could not carry it over to Wyoming without one. IMO the same thing has happened at UM; the offense looked good with a great QB, but is horrible without one.

I would argue that Ochs coached them, not the other way around.

I haven't seen Desin, but I've seen some West QBs.

I'll say that Selle is best QB at West in the past decade, which means he is better than John Edwards, and Selle is much better than Edwards. Although much of Edwards success was due to strong defense, there is no reason why the Griz shouldn't be able to return to Glenn era dominance with Selle as QB.
I'll stand by the strength of the Griz defense in the past five games, as the defense managed to play well despite a heavily flwaed offense. Even if Selle is an average QB, the Griz should have no trouble in the 'Sky next year.

You really think Selle is going to start next year? Better yet, you think the Griz will dominate with an "average" QB? Get ready for another disappointing football season Geko...

No trouble in the Big Sky?

With a true freshman at QB and a glaring lack of speed on offense?

LOL

The one thing the Griz do have going for them are 7 home games versus only 4 road games.

The Griz are fast becoming the Kansas State of 1-AA. Play a bunch of patsies and then wonder why the get pushed around when playing a decent, physical club.

Once again my source in Cut Bank ran into guess who this past weekend... none other than Mike Kramer and he thought the AD Fields. Krames was visiting the Larson kid... no word yet... but I was told Larson was told he has a minimum of 1/2 scholarship and as things clear should be a full ride. You know how rumors are... but Carroll is really hot after him. His choices in order were Bobcats, UM and then Carroll... but with Selle to UM probably Bocats and Carroll are left. 6'4 200 lbs 4.00 student.
