How were the first 90 years of Grizzly football?

Funny thing is if you take out the last 20 years of Griz football they still have a winning record over the cats.

Ahhhh the bear rears his ugly head yet again....

You can add UM to that list. You lose a lot off your O-line (2 Guards and a Tackle, 2 TE's), your best WR (Talmage)

Your defense looked rather poor in the last four games of the season, especially the last two. You lose Saenz, MacIntyre, and four others on D. I would say it needs some re-tooling at best.

Your team has questions on D and O, especially at WR and OL, whereas the Cats have no questions on D (we are young and DEEP), and questions at QB (I'm not worried there) and WR.

And oh yeah. You STILL don't have a capable QB. 8)

PSU or Weber

Definately not the griz. If they do get picked first, the chant from the entire Big Sky will be "OVERRATED."

My (early) picks:

1 Weber
2 MSU
3 UM
4 EWU
5 ISU
6 NAU
7 CSUS
8 PSU

Wait, I'm confused. At the beginning of your post, you picked PSU or Weber to finish first, but when you ranked the teams, you put PSU last. What am I misunderstanding??

OOPS. I put PSU up there before I looked at how many seniors they lose to graduation, including Ruben, so pretty much, its Weber. The league should be balanced again next year.... EWU could also fall lower than 4th, now that I look at it again. Wow, what was I doing last night when I posted that... Musta been off in lala land :?

Well-Well. Lets go back another 20 years, shall we? I think the Cats were 16-4 in the series from 1966 to 1985, and 3-17 since. I think that makes us about even in my lifetime, and the rest of us who were partying in college when you were still in diapers.

Actually, I believe the Cats led the series 14-6 from 1966 to 1985

I've been looking for my media guide all day to see who's right. I'm thinking the Griz won in 1969, 1970, 1978 and 1982 in that span. can anybody help me out?

Interesting tidbit:

Last 50 Cat/Griz games: Cats 25, Griz 25.

Grizzlies: 2-5 when it matters most
