Really. Whats in the air with Hauck's status?
I've just been reading talk of him leaving to San Diego St. and him not being back next year or the year after. I don't know how true this is.
Last night on the local news it was reported that Hauck has been rumored to be going to SDSU as an assistant to Neuhiesel. Hauck declared that he was not going and that there was no truth to that. ( at this time

The Griz are still in the running with Larson, and Kramer did not offer him a full ride from what I hear.
I do think Larson has the most potential of the bunch. Time will tell though.

Get off the "what happened to Selle's brother" thing. Give the kid some credit for making up his own mind about his future rather than just looking to what happened with his brother.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Considering that Selle is the most dominant HS QB I have ever seen, far beyond his brother or John Edwards, this is a huge recruit for the Griz.
Unless the Griz get a big name transfer, I would assume the starting QB job is bascially his (after he earns it, of course). Selle had more talent at the beginning of his senior year (HS) than Berquist did at the end of his freshman (college) season.

There's no way he's 230. I've seen him before, he's about 190-200 lbs.

Just because Bobby says it isn't so, doesn't mean it isn't so.
Bobby is known for his media deception tactics. He will say whatever needs to be said without regard to truth. Don't be surprised if he goes to SDSU.

Just like NeuWeasal didn't fly down to the Bay area to interview with the the 49ers while coaching UW! Only problem was there were Seattle reporters on the same flight.

Oh, BTW, a great recruit for the Griz. It's always tough to see a fellow Billings West alum cross over to the dark side.

Hope he likes getting booed by his own fans. Too bad a kid with a lot of potential just flushed away his career by deciding to go to a school that has turned into a wasteland for quarterbacks. Better start practicing his shovel passes now...

That is some good stuff!
If we get Larsen then not getting Selle will not be as big of a deal IMO. I think Larsen could really blossom into a good player (with his size and ability). He will be a better fit for our program. We will most likely not need a QB for 2 seasons, so that would give him time to learn the system and beef up (then he would be 230lbs). Getting Desin and Larsen would be much better then just getting Selle. Too bad we couldn't get all three...

Probably coincidence, but in the Missoulian today, Selle was quoted as saying that the friz coaches told him that he will get to compete for the starting QB next fall (see earlier random thought posted above). Some coaches will say anything, I tell ya!

Montana State IS what "they" think Montana is.

With the Griz qurterback play, I think they will let everybody have a chance to see what they can do at the position. And he did not say he would start or play, he was told that an opportunity to compete for the starting job was availible. I do not see that as a far fetched thing, as a coach in theory should let everyone compete to play, leading to playing the best guy.

I will give you that he looked very bad but lets face it..it was only 2 games and he is a freshmen. and what about stapp..seems like all of egriz was high on him even a few weeks ago.
look my point is that there is a plethora (translation for our friend bear...many) young qbs on your team that are decent. CB should have had at least 160 ypg passing with the rbs you had but didnt. maby its the system or the cooridnator
btw AS said he played in the same system in HS....

If Selle played in the same system in HS as the griz played, then Billings West certainly played it much better than um!

Did my son all of a sudden become a griz QB? He better have a a full ride because I won't pay tuition to go to UM.

You bet! Very good point!
