What are y'all complaining about? We have without a doubt the largest defensive playbook in virtually all of college football!!!! Do you want to have kids out of position all the time???? Or worse yet, run a simple defensive scheme like Portland State or North Dakota? You can't have it both ways...and dang, we've got without a doubt top 5 statistics in virtually every category except our defensive numbers. Chill. We could be like Cliff all those years ago when every game seemed to come down to the last possession.

Based on past performances similar to this it looks like a Marshall defense. If Ash would have had the balls to fire Marshall and promote Kane fully then you could throw this all on Kane. Recruiting is also a huge factor; which is 100% Ash.
Kane is 100% in control of the defense. That has already been established. Runs a completely different scheme than Marshall. The things we are lacking are fundamental. We don't tackle well, don't fit the run, take poor angles, don't pressure the QB, etc. It's like these athletes don't even know how to play football at times.

So if Kane is 100% in control; what exactly does Marshall get paid for?
Being the safeties coach....which is probably our worst performing group at the moment. He is about as overpaid as a fantasy football expert

Thanks for answering my question. So what you are saying is he got to keep title/pay/car etc... and pretty much does nothing.

Paige could be a corner or safety because he is not being used on offense.

Because not using Paige enough was our problem today.

He came in as a athlete (WR/DB). He can help on defense. It wouldn't hurt

My thoughts after today:

1. If I would have known the PSU Coach had a handle bar mustache I wouldn't have even gave us a fighting chance.

2. Nope that's pretty much it.

Ok time to be honest. We just aren't as good on either side of the ball as we thought. We have one elite athlete and that's Prukop. Can I imagine how bad we would be without him? Our defense sucks. We know that but our offense had chances to close and didn't. We are too to bottom an average team.

Portland state held every team except for us to 19 points or fewer, including washington state. We score on every drive except 3. We are lights out on offense.
