Cornbreadfred

I have heard on numerous occasions from TV, Newspapers, magazines, etc., that the BSC has never gotten an at large bid into the field of 65.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Harold "the show" is the Weber team you are talking about.

They won the automatic birth from the big sky and got the 14 seed in the tourney in 1999. Then "the show" went absoutely nuts against #3 North Carolina and pulled the upset.

They may have even made it to the sweet 16 that yr. (I think they lost in OT in the 2nd rd though).

The link below explains it. I think "the show" was in the NBADL or another pro league in Utah last year.

I was thinking of the 03 Weber State team. I just remembered a lot of talk about them getting an at large bid maybe if they didn't win the big sky, they ended up going in as a #12. Sorry. Is that the highest a big sky team has been ranked in the tourney?

They did lose in OT to Georgetown(oops or Florida)..what a run they had though beating UNC. I am a huge UNC fan so I was so disapointed my team was out in the first round and at the same time I had to be happy that a Big Sky team made it past the first round.

It was funny reading that link about old players...

Arceneaux, Ed Cota, Eddie Gill, etc.
