Football Recruiting
Anyone heard where the Savage kid from G.F (running back at CMR) is going? Has he made a verbal commitment anywhere?

Re: Football Recruiting
No, but you can bet it will not be MSU. Kramer doesn't like Montana RB's in general and he has already stated that he will not recruit any RB's this year.CatFanatic wrote:Anyone heard where the Savage kid from G.F (running back at CMR) is going? Has he made a verbal commitment anywhere?

Coach Hauck doesn't like to recruit Montana QBs and if you believe the rumor mill in Missoula, won't be recruiting any Montana kids anymore.cornbreadfred wrote:Kramer doesn't like to recruit Montana running backs or any Montana kids. He has McAdoo, the o line coach recruit idaho, montana and washington, meanwhile him and three other coaches recruit California, mainly JC's
Out of all the standard UM digs, the one about in-state recruiting is, IMHO, one of the most laughable, especially considering the amount of time Coach Kramer has spent building ties around the state.

Savage seems like he would be a great player anywhere and he is a tough player. He could fit somewhere here at MSU, even as a linebacker. They made a good choice with Marudas, even though he led the state in rushing his senior year. So Savage might be a good fit.

I don't know anything about the kid... just thought he had a good LB name. That guy that CP had running the ball for them yesterday was dang tiny, too...cat_man_08 wrote:I dont think it would be as sweet as you think. Savages is tiny. I think he would be a great back for Carroll or another NAIA school.GavinDonos wrote:Kramer likes MT RB's just fine... only he likes 'em at Linebacker.
How sweet would it be to have a stud LB named Savage?
I think we're set at RB for a nice long time, either way.

Yes, I'm sure Kramer has made him the LEAD Coach for recruiting those states, but your assertion that Kramer never recruits kids in Montana or that he doesn't meet & visit with Montana kids is absurd. I see him up here every time he comes to visit NW Montana kids & I'd say that happens at least 4 times/year.

My humble opinion...and it is that....is that when it comes down to closing the deal with a recruit from any state the Big Human is front and center...not leaving it up to chance
