It says they are required to interview at least one minority candidate. The AD says they might only interview two depending on the applicant pool. Pretty easy to jump to the conclusion that this is a formality, but I'm just guessing.

I guess my point being, the deadline was today I believe for the required amount of time for listing the position... if I'm PSU I grab the first minority candidate I see, interview them and today I'm congratulating Barnum as the new head coach.

I am more surprised if they're even interviewing for head coaches as they have stated that the football program has to be self sufficient or they will drop it.
