So are the griz still the National champs after losing to Cal Poly?

So what will the Griz fans post first:

Fire Stitt - he is not innovative enough.

Or

QB controversy in Griz nation.

Or

This was a let down game after such a big win.

I think at the very least, this will put the "Gustafson is the best QB in the conference" talk on hold for a while.

That was fun. My maroon friends are sure to be a little more soft spoken this week. 17 offensive points seems low for the genius that is Stitt. Perhaps we shouldn't read too much into the outcome of game one of the season. :D

Griz are so narcissistic. All about them all the time. No team I love to watch lose more than them.

Griz defense played them well. I can only hope our D will do as well. Stitt's offense is great if the weather is good. My bro who is a Griz and I have discussed his offense and the problems with no TE or full back. Red zone offense and ball control are made more difficult with it. I think Gus will have some good games going foward but it was raining hard in Missoula and haning on to the ball was tough. I also don't think he is the QB that Stitt would wants to run his system. Prukop or VA would be great in it. I had a feeling CP would give them issues but I am not lookingn foward to playing them either.

This made my day. That said, we have a lot of work ahead of us if we think we can beat EWU and Cal Poly in back to back games. this conference is showing that there will be some upsets and some games that could go either way.

I love that Stitt likes to go for it so much on 4th down. If a defense can hold, that recklessness generally means fantastic field position for the offense. There are some offenses that you don't want to give any type of advantage to, ours included. I think over time the griz will find themselves in many Stitty situations due to their head coach's lack of patience.
