What exactly is the point of the MSU-California dig? Montana gets a lot of the in-state talent so Montana State gets guys from other states. What would you expect them to do? Are the Californians on the UM roster not "true" Grizzlies?Bozgriz wrote:Very close to the truth...33 Californians on the Cats, 34 Montanans.theblackgecko wrote:It's easy; the Californians are the guys with pads and the M on their helmets.El_Gato wrote:I can't.CARDIAC_CATS wrote:...No, you can tell the difference between Californians and Griz fans very distinctly.

sure, californians have other clothes besides maroon sweatshirts, hats, and jackets from early nineties in their closets.CARDIAC_CATS wrote:No, you can tell the difference between Californians and Griz fans very distinctly.grizbeer wrote:So your brother is in California wearing a shirt that identifies him as having a connection to Montana, another guy with a Montana connection tries to strike up a conversation and your brother treats him rudely? Now he is in California. One day he was walking in a mall in Fresno with his MSU shirt on. A guy came up to him "I see you have an MSU shirt on, I went to UM" and my brother says SO and kept walkingNICE! That is funny.

That's sad. Used to be if you were not in Montana and ran into somebody from Montana there was an automatic sense of friendship or kinship - that's why Griz and Cat fans can get together at satellite parties in other states.
This is sad to me, sounds like some of the younger generation might be not get this. Pretty soon you won't be able to tell the difference between Montanans and Californians.![]()
