Proposed Rule Changes

I've noticed that a select few Griz fans left yesterday's CAT/Griz game feeling somewhat "unfulfilled" because of events that impacted the Griz which were out of their control. As such, I suggest that we develop a list of rule changes to submit to BSC to level the playing field for the future.

I'll start by trying to address a few concerns I heard:

Rule 1: No opposing coach should be allowed to display anything but sweetness and smiles while coaching against the Griz - even if a call is questionable.

Rule 2: No player other then a Griz player will get any respect for accomplishments achieved on and off the football field - regardless of the statistics.

Rule 3: A win is meaningless against the Griz unless you take into account history or playoff consideration. It just doesn't count.

Rule 4: No playing on a field that isn't in good condition. Though both teams play on it, it is always an disadvantage to the Griz.

Rule 5: "Cheap shots" should only be called on teams other then the Griz since that is what actually happens.

Rule 6: Griz fans can talk as much smack as they want anywhere they want (i.e. in a classroom to defenseless children in Manhattan), but do not have to accept anything in return when the Griz lose do to outside factors (even when they are MAN HANDLED).

Are their others you would like to add in an effort to prevent hurt feelings?

Rule 7: Bleachers should be properly upgraded so that the Grizzly fans get just as good or better as the other team.

Rule 8: Even though it doesn't matter, the Scoreboard needs to be seen at all times by the Griz fans, so they can wish their team would score more points.

high school stadium seats are an upgrade. and i'm not kidding.

I was just being funny. I sat in those bleachers for years and a replacement is long overdue. I've fallen on them before, dropped stuff underneath, and had to crawl under them to retrieve that stuff. And when it's cold there, it's not fun. I feel your pain. I know this wasn't smack, but it had to be said.

For all the griz fans wishing for better seats in 2 years, it's simple:

Just send a check to Peter Fields at the Athletic Dept. and specify that it's for replacing the south bleachers.

Give early, give often, and give LOTS!

Rule 9: After losing a game, Griz fans can go to winning team's board and sling as much meaningless crap as they can in an attempt to erase the memories of the lose (directed at the pinhead Griz fans only = the ones without common sense).

RULE 14: If you can't win the game on the field, make up things to win at (i.e. whose higher in GPI - does the term "overrated" come to mind).
