The Griz DESTROYED Poly in their first meeting?
Facts:
The Griz had a 3 point lead with under a minute to play.
The Griz gave up more yards to Poly than the Cats did.
Cal Poly was flagged 12 times for 104 yards.
Cal Poly turned the ball over 4 times.
The Griz turned the ball over 5 times.
Total yardage: Cal Poly 436, Griz 432
Time of possession: Cal Poly 29:56, Griz 30:04
I'd swear you were a Griz fan if you call that destroying someone.
Gato,
Didn't watch all of the game, looked at the final score and what Lex did, that to me was good enough. I apologize for not taking the time to look up all the stats like you did, but I ask that you do not call me a Griz fan. That's beyond ridiculous. Destroyed may have been a bit too generous and I was just trying to type real quick before I left work and I take it back after looking at the stats. I still think that people are expecting Poly to walk into Missoula with their backup quarterback and an early season loss still hanging over their heads and not have the Griz show up at all. We all know that playing in Missoula messes with teams. There are tons of posts on here stating that, some from yourself even. I want Cal Poly to win and I think they have a good chance, however, I don't think it's going to be some cake walk for either side like many of the scores being predicted demonstrate.

Again, that game from memory, Bergquist didn't do anything special, but I believe Hilliard had his biggest rushing game of the year. I don't think he will repeat it, but I think it will be closer then most think.

I know I may catch some $hit for that, but it's just my opinion so take it or leave it.
No, most won't admit it but, I bet a lot of us Cat fans feel this way. I do.

Coach, it was a joke; I would NEVER call you or any Cat fan the g-word.
I think having already played at WaGriz will be a HUGE help for Poly, especially when you consider the Griz never sell-out that first round game because of Thanksgiving.
I believe Poly over-played the pass in Game 1 because they thought that area of the Griz O WAS improving and also because it's been the Griz trademark for so long. I think after watching gamefilm of the Griz O from the last 3 weeks, however, they will load up the box, limit Hilliard's effectiveness, and go back to Cali with a W.

Oh I know Gato, no worries, it was poor wording on my part. You are lucky I was in a good mood, I was going to accuse of actually being bearbac

For some reason, I feel that the Grizzlies might just get this one at home, in the cold (maybe), against a California team. They also have a psychological advantage over Cal Poly in that Cal Poly has never beaten them. I think this one will be Griz 21, Cal Poly 17. Please understand that I don't like the Grizzlies, as a matter of fact I can hardly stand them, but I see them winning this one at Wash-Griz.
GO CATS!
It's always a good day to be a Bobcat fan!

My name is Steve, if you'd like to know.

The 'Cats have a better offense than Cal Poly, plus the home field advantage, plus superior coaching, plus dominance in time of posession, plus good weather and score 16 on the Griz defense. The Griz defense proved it's quality in Bozeman.
Griz 13
Cal Poly 6

Meat gets thrown out for throwing beer at a 90 year old grandma of one of the Poly players.
Only if the can is already empty. No sense in wasting perfectly good beer. And when they ask me for my name......Tapp, Gary Tapp of Minneapolis.

FOG CLEATS? Are there such things? FUNNY. Probably not fair to play without them IF there is such a thing. Oh well, both teams play on the same field.

CPSLO: Wins - gets UM monkey off back, after watching game tape of Cat/Griz
UM: Loses - POOOOOR GRIZZLIES!
FWIW, I think this game is a low scoring defensive battle.
