I agree! I am so tired of the "Bro Country" bull $h!t it drives me crazy. That being said, Eric Church isn't bro country. If you want something as close to real country played on the radio today, it's Eric Church. All of you listen to this and then tell me why you aren't going to his concert.
Snoop. Snoop a loop. That was a concert....oh the contact high. You want a concert where girls took their tops off....Motley Cru in Bozeman about 6 or 7 years ago. Got free tickets to that one. No way I would've paid otherwise, but it was Herrington's Pepsi sponsored and they gave out a bunch of tickets. Good ol Tommy Lee walks out while the others are on break, with a video camera that's hooked up to the big screens, and says "where are them F-ing t!tt!es at" and then whoever he zoomed in on, took their top off.
The Brick is honestly a pretty crappy place to watch a concert. The acoustics suck. I would love to see a concert at the football stadium. That would rock. People travel for huge concerts as evidenced by Paul in Missoula last year. The Stones too.

Why don't they ever have concerts at the stadium? Why couldn't Bozeman get acts like McCartney, the Stones, Pearl Jam, etc., who have all played at Wa-Griz in the past few years?

People think the cannon is too loud, what would they think of all that damned rock music?
Cat_stache_fever listens to Nickelback...and enjoys it.

With regards to Missoula,
Pearl Jam is a no brainer since Jeff was a UM student before moving to Seattle to pursue music. As for the Stones and Paul, a UM alum with vast music connections and many years in the industry (former manager for Sting) has been very instrumental in making those concerts happen. He's rumored to be working on getting another big name to Missoula in the near future.
There are some heavy hitters in the music industry that reside in and around Bozeman who could probably get the ball rolling for you guys.
Geeezzz, get Steve Earle, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchett, Deep Purple and some of the new neighbors of the stadium might show up for the concert and ask for more of the same...and they'd probably want it louder.

That many years ago, it's okay to mix up the years! Like to go visit the old vets and listen to them tell real old war stories and they all have a tendency to confuse the years...

Those would be GREAT!
But what about the """noise shed""" for all those newer inhabitants of the area.....
Patti was in Sacramento for work yesterday and the Eric Church Bus, ETC were parked there. One on the ladies she works with was wishing she could go to the concert with her son.....I don't even know who Eric Church is!

I believe they'd want you to crank it up a notch. Maybe get Zac Brown and some of the younger ones too or even Kid Rock. My daughter was riding with me and Church's "Springsteen" came on and she cranked that up so when it was over, I put the Fourth of July cassttee in and she went ballistic. "Oh God dad! Who is that? Turn it off!" Go figure. Tried to tell her the song Church was doing was a tribute to that guy but she didn't want anything to do with it.

Yep - Eric Church is a good one. Also, Easton Corbin has a great voice that sounds kind of like a combination of Alan Jackson and Ronnie Dunn (of Brooks & Dunn fame).
Bro country is more Florida-Georgia Line (barf ) and some of Jason Aldean's songs.
As to Zach Brown Band, I don't care for his style. I've heard he puts on a heckuva show, but something about his voice and the way he writes lyrics just bothers me. Kinda like how Willie Nelson's weed-infused voice really bothers me.
Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

I'd have to agree about Zach Brown. I tried to listen to him, but never really liked it.
Oh yeah, and I too like 107.5 out of Billings. I'm glad they moved it from 105.1 to the top of the dial and boosted their signal strength. It can be picked up with decent clarity all the way to Livingston!

Did anyone else see the Foo Fighters/Sonic Highways documentary on HBO? For their new album, they recorded one song in each of eight different cities that were on their tour, then did a one hour segment for HBO, chronicling the musical history and background of each city (Chicago, Washington DC, New Orleans, Nashville, Austin, LA, Seattle, and New York), including interviews with some of the iconic musical artists and record producers from those cities. It was very interesting. I've never been much of a country music fans, old or new, with just a few exceptions (Johnnie Cash and Dwight Yoakham are about the only ones that come immediately to mind), but in the Nashville episode, the FF collaborated with the Zach Brown Band, and I have to admit that after watching it, I came away with a new appreciation for them and their music.
Drinking beer out of a Milk jug while at the spring thaw concert in 79' Watching the Allman brothers play, was the last time I saw a concert in Bobcat stadium. I seem to remember a hail storm, followed by a parent storm. As I was 14 at the time my memory is a bit foggy, but the aftermath is still crystal clear, and somewhat of a legend to this day.
The State of Montana is Bobcat country.
missoula....still just 20 miles from Montana.
