Adams is not the first qb to make the leap from 1AA/fcs-BSC to the 1A/fbs-Pac 10/12. In the mid 90's Weber State sophmore starting quarterback, Brad Otten, jumped to Southern Cal and became a starter for the Trojans as a junior. He did split some starting time with another qb (don't recall his name) but Otten was viewed as the starter and USC went on to win the Rose Bowl. He became the full time starter as a senior and had a fine season/career with Southern Cal. I recall he was drafted, but don't remember what happened to him.
I believe the reason he left Weber is the rumor was rampant Weber was dropping the football program and Otten got out of Ogden.

He's the one who followed Jamie Martin.
