Women's Basketball Tonight against Oregon St.

Post by bozbobcat » Fri Nov 18, 2005 5:15 pm

For anyone who wants a little women's basketball action before Cat-Griz tomorrow, the Cats take on Oregon State at the Fieldhouse at 7:05 p.m. For any Bozeman people (like myself) former Bozeman athletic star Mandy Close will be playing one more game here in front of the hometown crowd. Should be a good one!

70-35 Oregon St. It was ugly. Mandy Close looked very good for OSU and they had a big team. MSU could not get a shot going tonight or find an inside presence. It would be best to forget about this one.

The 'Cats played an excellent first half, then reverted to the old style of play with no patience and literally throwing the ball in the general direction of the basket when OSU turned up the defensive pressure.

The 'Cats did great in forcing OSU into several 30-second violations with good defense, but that simply illustrated to me that OSU was being patient and only taking good shots.

Patience, 'Cats, patience.

Is anyone else concerned about the all the knee injuries? Garcia, Buckless, Proietti. Is the conditioning/strength program doing more good than harm? We've been there in the past.

Go 'Cats!
