griz TV folks already sniveling.
I just watched the Missoula CBS newscast, and Jeremy Jorgensen reported from Bobcat Stadium that the field is a sloppy, muddy mess.
He and the other clown back in the studio made it very clear that they think the Cats did this intentionally. The studio folks were even dumb enough to use the word conspiracy. Booby & Co. apparently stopped to do a walkthrough, but according to JJ, they saw the field, loaded up the bus and headed east; doesn't Booby remember what happened the last time he did that?
I'm sorry, but with a pass-oriented attack on offense, why in the world would the Cats want a sloppy, slow track?
Sounds like the TV guys are simply setting up an excuse for the Griz loss.

I didn't hear any talk of conspiracy and have talked to people who where on the field with the Griz. They did say the field was a piece of isht.
Who takes care of the field, and do they have any idea what they are doing?
Don't you want to leave the snow on the field till the last possible second and then clear the snow so the field doesn't freeze. Or did it get warm enough to melt all the snow. They said they cleared the snow on wednesday, and that the cats didn't even practice on it. What up.
Personally, I could care less, but don't want it so bad that guys are getting hurt because of poor field conditions.

1) The people who take care of the field do a great job. The turf condition is in excellent shape. But, that doesn't mean that natural conditions can't affect it.JahGriz wrote:I didn't hear any talk of conspiracy and have talked to people who where on the field with the Griz. 2) A week ago we got at least 10" of snow and have had other snow showers that have probably amounted to around 2-3 inches more. The weather lately has gotten warm enough during the day time to melt off. My own back yard is down to nothing except for in shaded areas.
3) The cats cleared their practice field last Tuesday. That's all. The playing field has been left alone.
4) I go by the stadium at least twice a day as my children's daycare is nearby. The 'Cats were practicing in the stadium on Wednesday night.
5) When I drove by tonight, the Griz were going through their walk throughs and were on the field for at least 45 minutes.
6) The field is nowhere even close to being a liability to injury. Is it wet? Yes. It's outside and it's natural turf. But, there are no bare areas and the grass is well established.

JahGriz, yah it's been in 40s all week how would you suggest we keep the snow on the field.JahGriz wrote:I didn't hear any talk of conspiracy and have talked to people who where on the field with the Griz. They did say the field was a piece of isht.

Really, why would the Cats want a sloppy, slow track?
Leave it to El to spin it to make the Griz look bad. You are such a slacker.
If the field is in poor condition fine. The Griz will deal with it. It is the Cats Stadium that will be in the national spotlight and they are the ones that stand to lose by embarrassing field conditions. That should really stimulate recruiting interest. Next week the nation and potential recruits will see a real stadium.

I was asking, not suggesting. Anyway, obviously the field is in bad shape. But I'm all for a down and dirty old slye game too.
Funny thing, I wasn't for the Griz going away from grass. But now I guess I've come to like a consistant surface that is a non-factor.
I think everybody should have sprinturf or similar. But still like turning on the TV and seeing players actually all dirtied with chunch of turf stuck in their face masks.
Whatever, works for me, though I'll pass on newly laid sawd. Thanks for the explanations.

So by that logic, I guess Chattanooga won't be hosting any more NC games then huh?elkmcc wrote:El_Gato wrote:I just watched the Missoula CBS newscast, and Jeremy Jorgensen reported from Bobcat Stadium that the field is a sloppy, muddy mess.

Well maybe we''ll recruit a QB who wouldn't normally play, but whose dad is a ambulance chaser who will pay for our sprinturf.JahGriz wrote:I was asking, not suggesting. Or maybe you could get an alumni who gives a sh*t about your program and that POS litterbox you play in.[/quote]GrizinWashington wrote:Well maybe we''ll recruit a QB who wouldn't normally play, but whose dad is a ambulance chaser who will pay for our sprinturf.
You have had one alum that gave a sh**. Nice work. What has your contribution been to the program?
PS: Posting negative things on BN is not a contribution idiot.
