W have nearly the same problem as the Griz. We have two young quarterbacks on scholarship. So, at most we can give one more scholarship.

I think the Griz have a freshman (Berquist), a junior (Washington) and a redshirting freshman (Stapp) all on scholarship. Given the limited number of scholarships at 1-AA, I don't see how they can give any more scholarships at quarterback. Having 4 quarterbacks on scholarship is a bit out of the question at 1-AA.

I assume we will give one more qb scholarship - will it be to a high school qb or a transfer? Does anyone think we can have 4 qb's on scholarship?

At 6'5" 255, he's big enough to start on our O-Line

I'm surprised nobody else heard this one yet but I've heard from 2 sources now, (not official sources mind you, just un-substantiated talk) that Brady Leaf was looking to transfer to MSU next year if he wasn't going to be named the starter for Oregon. Anyone else hear this? If it was true, I would guess it's probably different now that the OU #1 guy went down. On a side-note, why is Ryan Leaf going to all the Bobcat games? Saw him at a few on Bozeman, then I saw him in Cheney... must be a big Bobcat fan.

i heard he was seriously thinking about it until Clemens went down and there was a chance to start next year, but unless he dosn't have a chance I don't think it will happen. I also heard that the Leafs like MSU.

Are you sure you see Ryan Leaf? Chad Getten (SP?) was my basketball coach in middle school and he is a huge Cat fan and is always roaming the sidelines before the game. I can see how he would look a little like Leaf, he is about 6'4 or more.

No offense Celtic but are you serious. Getten and Leaf look alike. WOW. Maybe in height, but they don't look alike and Chad is about 50-75 pounds lighter.

Leaf was a Specs after the Sac game, don't know about the EWU.

Swogger will be a senior next year. If we had a team coming back next year that was a remarkable quarterback away from a playoff run I'd say go get him. But we had a remarkable quarterback the last two years and likely will miss the playoffs again. Let's go find a remarkable high school senior.

GO CATS! BEAT THE griz!!

If I were Ryan Leaf, I'd be embarrassed to set foot in MT after all the crap he said about it. My a$$ still gets chapped when I think about him. That said, I wouldn't be opposed to Brady taking snaps at MSU.

When Sports Illustrated did that 50 states thing, they did a poor job with Montana, except for one thing. They named Ryan Leaf enemy of the state. He needs to remember that, because he said bad things about Montana and was quite a jerk. His Montana citizenship should be renounced.

I'm positive. I know Chad G. and he was on the sidelines with the team during the Eastern game. Ryan leaf was sitting in front of me with a black cowboy hat and a heart-shaped diamond earing. Then he switched his CB hat for a WSU cap and left during the 3rd quarter to watch his little brother play against and beat his Alma-Mater. I know this because I watched the WSU Oregon from a casino later on and they interviewed Ryan during the game. Different hat, same heart-shaped diamond earing...
