CAT-griz predicitions

Post by DriftCat » Wed Nov 16, 2005 11:59 am

I figured that I would go ahead and start this one. One of the few things we did well last week was stop the run and that was against a good passing team. I dont think that Lex will be that big of a factor since we dont have to worry about Berquist passing the ball (our DBs should try to stay about ten yards futher downfield than their receivers and we will have an INT every time) The griz D is very good but I think Lulay and the other seniors will be more than ready for this game. After Cole gets put on his back numerous times in the first half he will have to head back to Missoula for a new pair of pants so we shoud see a backup QB in the second half. MSU 30 dUMb 6.

I probably should have started this on the smack board.

I'll give it that old college try...

The incredible Griz D will decimate the Sc@'s O, and the Griz will counter with sufficient O to tip the scales. Put me down for:

Griz 24, Cats 10

Everything is always on its way somewhere.

Griz offense finally comes out of it's shell....
Griz 38
Cats 21

Here's another prediction: I'll hear the chant "eat sh!t Grizzlies, go Cats go" several times throughout the game.

You guys should replace it with the chant "Consume waste Grizzlies, proceed Cats proceed". ;-)

While I agree the the jizz' defense is good, their secondary is very suspect. This will let Lulay throw the ball all day. If our O-line holds their own, we will win.

We are at home (undefeated), defense is healthy and the offense will play better. This is probably the last hurrah for a great set of seniors. Cats 28 - griz 10.

GO CATS!!!

Hummm I think it's going to be a high scoring game. I'll say Cats by a field goal. I won't post my predicted score (superstitions... prevent me from enlightening all of you). I've been right before!!

If the Cats can limit turnovers and prevent the Griz special teams from turning things into a field position game... I dont see our receivers dropping balls like they did last weekend - which means Travis will have faith in them.

Saying the Griz defense is good is an understatement, but if the Cats offense is on their game and playing to their capabilities, then I like our chances.

Cats 35 - Griz 17
I am not saying the Griz are overrated or anything like that, but in Lulay/Bolton/Marudus/Mollohan/Gatewoods last game, I really think the Cats can be this good.

Oh, by the way, Travis needs 306 total yards of offense to become the all time leader in total offense.

 This kid is going out on top Saturday.

with decent weather
MSU 35
UM 3
otherwise MSU 21 UM 3.

Griz score comes off a fumbled punt return. Cats have 540 yards total offense. Groves rushes for over a 100. Lulay has 400, other 50 is from interception returns.

That IS funny......Lex is good but I doubt he will rush for 6 TDs. If you have any other threats on offense please let me know.

Can't predict a score, who the heck knows what O will show up for the Griz, and who the heck knows what D will show up for the cats.

I will say this, last week Hilliard was puking sick, and could only see out of one eye, and ran for 155 yards.
I heard thru the grapevine that before the Cal Poly game he was really hurting. His hips were in bad shape, and his entire body was sore, and he had something else. He told O'Day, I think, that he plays better hurt and to expect a big game. Big game is what he did too.
With a guy like that on our side, and others with the same mentality, I see the Griz winning this one.

Lulay gets to capitalize on all his time in the pocket and find some receivers. The D steps up and holds the Griz to a few FG's.

Cat's 31
Griz 9

Griz won't beat the Cats this weekend. Their offense doesn't have it in them. Either the Cats beat the Griz, or the Cats make enough mistakes to beat themselves. Lets hope its the former on Saturday!
