He's the only one with enough speed to stretch the field. You're right about him still being weak. He probably won't be able to turn on the burners, but ya never know. Some kids never lose a step. I agree that if the OL can't get a hat on a hat, it'll be a long day. Notice, I don't expect them to get any sort of push whatsoever.catatac wrote:I don't know about that... they have other receivers that are pretty good too. In fact, how healthy can he be after dealing with this virus and not practicing for so long? I still maintain that with or without him... the outcome will all depend on if their O line can get any kind of running game going.

Sorry to be off topic but the hardest damn thing I ever did was fund a (gulp) cat card and write a check to bobcat mattress co.
Ouch! Anyway I hope both teams play well, learn from it, get paid, and whoop the FBS.

Re: Montana @ Wyoming
So I was on youtube last night looking at highlights from last year's games around the Big Sky and stumbled on these videos where it looks like someone in the stands pretty much recorded all the plays. video quality isn't actually that bad. Anyway, what struck me is how close this game really was - How well USD was able to move the ball on the Grizzly D, and how well USD was able to get stops. The couple big plays that UM was able to hit were the difference in this one. The fact that they had to squeak this one out, and then squeaked out two additional games in OT (Sac and CPU) with that incredible O Line they had last year...
I really think it's going to be tough for them to stay in the game at Wyoming.

Battle of the terrible offenses! Everyone looks awful. (Note: griz score was on a trick play)
Side note; commentators spoke about the great history of Griz coaching, including Sonny Lubick.

Having seen Bohl on the sideline chewing players in NDSU games (games they were winning), I would not want to be in the WY locker room this half time. The Butcher wrote:Half time- griz 6 Pokes 3.
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do, but 48-23 may be the best of all.

Griz look pretty damn good to me in this game. The D looks solid as hell.

Re: Montana @ Wyoming
Wyoming's QB was horrible. Nothing against UM's defense, but that guy isn't taking the Cowboys anywhere. Once they realized they shouldn't have him throw, they functioned somewhat. He threw 14 passes in the first half (four more resulted in sacks) and just seven in the second half. So 18 pass plays to just 7 from the first to second half. He just looked lost.

After this weekend, I'd say EWU has really separated themselves from the pack.

How so? They played Western MT, not exactly a NAIA powerhouse. I would say NDSU separated themselves from the entire FCS, and Villanova could be in that conversation as well. A week from today we will tell us much more about the EWU team than we know now. Just my 2 pints worth....

I'm talking big sky conference, EWU put up 56 last week against shsu. I'm not confident w can put 56 on anyone.
