Great for him. I can't stand the "Big Time" program versus "Small School" attitude that is permeated throughout that article though. It's amazing to me how many of these writers still look at FCS like it's NAIA or Division III.

No disrespect to Tripp at all. He's a very good linebacker. But did anyone else besides me think that Coyle was the better linebacker of the two?

I thought Coyle was better as well. But it is always tough to know why. Was it the system? Was it more plays went towards Coyle? But Tripp is more of a physical specimen in terms of measurables. Coyle is strong in that category too, minus the height. I think that alone was the difference between drafted and UFA.

Tripp's play shows either a lack of discipline or lack of understanding. If he doesn't correct whichever one it is he'll be out of football in a couple years.
