Hey Anaconda give the ISU kid a break he only went along with the drive by because he thought, he'd be able to stop it.

Isn't Thomas the guy who comes back to Bozeman and gives motivational speechs at the schools? I'd say that's pretty much the opposite of a 'thug.' And while I don't care for people with a 'tude', I don't see it as being anything that out of the ordinary.

I think the incident you are thinking of is when a UNI player punched Dave DeCoite in the nuts on national TV?

Not to worry, we can all breathe a sigh of relief. Joey Thomas has been picked up by the saints.

Rats, I was hoping the Vikes would get him but they didn't even make a waiver claim!

The bottom line Wolfy is that Joey was a pretty good kid at MSU and has been since he left. Did he have an attitude that drove the fans nuts? YES! He was more into himself than the team and even though he was the best athelete on the team many of us were glad to see him go. But not because he caused problems. In fact, in four years at MSU he never was mentioned in ANY kind of trouble when each week we would hear about a fight or disagreement between players and fans. Joey never had one bad mark in those four years. No grade problems either. Maybe you are misplacing his on-the-field behavior with off-the-field behavior. He has been the same at Green Bay: a pain on the field sometimes but off the field you never hear anything negative. If you watched Joey on the field I can see where your assumptions came from but they are assumptions and in this case they are completely wrong!
